"I screwed it up," Dean kept saying. "I could have saved all those people."
Sam rolled his eyes without his broher seeing. He knew whatever he says, Dean wouldn't stop feeling guilty. He decided to leave him alone for a bit so he could feel better.
"I'm going out for a walk, okay? Call me if you need something." he said.
"Just don't take the car," Dean said, almost mumbling.
"Sure." Sam grabbed his keys and went out.
Dean didn't do anything for, like, 10 minutes. He just stared at the empty wall of the cheap motel they were staying in. He was thinking about Castiel. If he was okay. If he hates him now. Dean remembered how he ran off with Sam the day before.
"Cas," he called out. "If you can hear me... Please come here..." He looked around and waited. Nothing. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Quickly he grabbed his keys and got inside the Impala. Their motel was near the beach so he thought he'd go there. He first stopped at a market to buy pie. Pie always made him feel better.
Eating, driving and listening to Led Zeppelin, by the time he arrived he was feeling much happier. But still he couldn't get rid of his guilty feeling. The parking lot was empty. Dean parked his car and walked towards the sea. There was no one. He closed his eyes.
"Cas, I know you can hear me," he said loudly. "I screwed everything up last night... I feel guilty as hell. I... I just wanted to say that I am sorry. I am sorry."
"You did what you had to do." Dean opened his eyes. He just loved hearing Castiel's soft voice. He turned around and looked into his blue eyes.
"Cas... I... I need you." He whispered, still staring at his eyes.
"I love you too." Cas said grinning.
"I didn't say I loved you."
"But you wanted to say it."
Dean came closer to Cas. His face came closer to his, and he whispered, softly in Castiel's ear.
"You're my angel.
I wake up every day thinking about your smile, the words you say to me. Cas... I don't know how to say this, but-"
Castiel pulled Dean to himself, and kissed him passionatly. Dean was shocked, but he wanted to do this since he first saw him. "Dude," he said with a smile. "Personal space."
