Super Paper Mario, Count Bleck/Count or Lord Blumiere, Tippi/Lady Timpani, Chaos Heart, Pure Hearts etc were properties of Nintendo/Intelligent Systems. I own the title of the poem, layout and the lines themselves.
I'm finally back from poet's block and I chosen to type this out of the two newest poems I've came up with. This one is also inspired from a song that is called "Battlefield" by Jordin Sparks, it's her latest single and I've seen the music video. It's great and the song is meaningful, despite the fact that I'm not a fan of the singer. The way she sings this, it gave me the image of how Tippi's relationship with her ex-lover is like when she confronts him before the showdown so that's how I thought this up. Who knew songs could actually inspire me! By the way, there might be a little angst and deep sorrow within the poem so get a box of tissues at the ready in case you're going to cry. This is written in Tippi's point of view and takes place during or before the battle against Count Bleck at his castle.
Bittersweet Love
Why are you doing this, Blumiere?
Do you still have feelings for the girl you care?
Love is like a battlefield,
Chaos Heart protected you with a shield,
And a powerful staff that you wield,
You used to promise with a world full of bliss,
Once we will find it, we will kiss,
You tried to destroy the heroes with dark magic,
Our relationship was quite tragic,
I don't want to hurt you,
You didn't want to harm me too,
I didn't mean to start a fight,
When this is over, we'll make things right,
Dark against light,
Pure Hearts shone so bright,
We'll overcome anything with our might,
I can't take this anymore,
What happened to the man I adore?
We were lovers from the start,
But now, this is tearing me apart,
No longer we have togetherness,
You thought the world is meaningless,
If I had a heart, it would break,
Have to defeat you for every world's sake,
Can't do this because you're the one I cherish,
I couldn't bear to see you perish,
Guess there is no turning back,
We have no choice to attack.
It's sad, isn't it? Actually, I tried remembering the lyrics from the song to give me that kind of feeling to write this poem. It's worth listening to if you want some inspiration or if you're a fan of the solo artist. It sounds like a love song or a power ballad but it doesn't have that R'n'B vibe. I was going to add "Bittersweet Love" to the sequel (if I'm really planning to do it) to the collection of poems about the star-crossed couple but I've changed my mind, I got other things to do. Coming soon is yet another poem but I'm sure it won't be suitable for Count Bleck/Count or Lord Blumiere x Tippi/Lady Timpani fans. In the meantime, just leave me a nice review and tell me what you think of this and I'll get cracking on the next one.
