ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS
Disclaimer: Joss' stuff is his. Duh.
-Vixen-
"Christmas? Bah-Humbug!" Vixen said to her two college roommates as she stared out the window onto the quad in between the dorm halls.
"Oh, come on, I'm sure Christmas will be wonderful this year," Emma said, eluding to something unknown.
"Yeah," Vixen's other roommate Sarah added. After a moment she asked, "What are you wishing for for Christmas?"
"Nothing Santa can deliver," Vixen rose from her chair and decided to take a walk around campus out in the falling snow. She just wasn't in the Christmas Spirit this year. It was the first Christmas she would spend without her family. And it was just so sucky at the moment; her boyfriend was on another business trip, she was away from home, plus the WB was showing a bunch of repeated Buffy episodes for the next month.
"So, think she'll like her Christmas present," Sarah asked Emma while stringing some popcorn.
"She'd better, we sure as hell spent a lot on it!"
Scrooged was playing on the VCR as Sarah added, "She's had a rough year, what with her grandmother passing away and all.."
"But just wait till she sees her present!"
The next morning, Christmas Day, Vixen made her way out to the kitchen, passing the tree on the way. She looked at the presents absentmindedly. Then she made herself a cup of tea and DID A DOUBLE TAKE AT THE CHRISTMAS TREE!
There was a usual assortment of brightly colored boxes but in the middle was Spike, all tied up like he was during the middle of Season 4.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Emma and Sarah shouted surprise as they entered the room, throwing their arms up in the air.
The cup of tea shattered to the floor, "Are you guys psycho!" Vixen walked over to Spike. "Didn't you know kidnapping was a federal offense? I mean," She turned to Spike, "I am *so* sorry James," And then back to her friends, "God, we could go to jail, I'll be kicked out of college, my family will never speak to me again... AND I WON'T BE A REGULAR ON THE BOARD ANYMORE!"
Sarah calmly butted in, "Don't worry Vixen, see this isn't James Marsters, so it's no big deal."
"Yeah," Emma added, "See, um.. well, I'm not the Physics major, Sarah is, but anywho, somehow Sarah was able to rig up this doo-hickey that transported us to Alter Universe, or the other universe, or.. er, whatever, but anyway," The next part she illustrated with her hands, "We bonked Spike on the head and tied him up, and brought him here.. don't you like it?"
Vixen's jaw dropped open, gapping wide. "You're a thundering loony... but I love it.. but I can't keep him, cause he's a vampire.. plus it would be wrong.."
"Now, if you ducks are quite finished bring me back to Sunnyhell so I can finish stealing Buffy's sweater in peace!"
Vixen looked at Sarah.
"Right, right, I'm going."
"Wait a minute," Emma said, "This is a kodak moment, let me get the camera!" The went into her bedroom and returned again with camera in hand, "Now say… Buffy!" And for that Spike smiled.
"Thank you, you guys," Vixen smiled as the polaroid developed in her hand. "Great Christmas Present... very… thoughtful."
Then Sarah untied Spike and led him to the door.
"Oh, um, Merry Christmas, Pet," Spike told Vixen just before he left.
And then she fainted.
