"Master! The results have revealed themselves," said a small man known as Wormtail. "Excellent. Finally you did not fail me, again," Voldemort hissed. "Harry Potter? I should've known..."
A rather attractive boy of sixteen sat on his bed watching the clock. "3-2- 1, Happy Birthday Harry!" Harry said to himself. He looked out the window as two owls flew in. He recognized them as Pig, Ron's owl, and Athena, Hermione's new owl. Athena dropped a parcel on his lap. He opened it and a note fell out.
Dear Harry, Happy Birthday! Can you believe it's your last year with the Dursleys? Are you studying for your N.E.W.T.S. Harry? You know, it is a very important test. And can you believe we're both Head Boy and Head Girl? I've been researching. Did you know the last five generations of the Potter family have been Head Boy and Head Girl? I read it in 500 Years of Head Boys and Head Girls. Have you heard from Ron yet? I hope the Dursleys will let you stay with them, I will be. I hope you like your present. With Love, Hermione
Harry picked up the parcel to see what present Hermione had sent him. He pulled out a large book called Everything You Need to Know About Dueling; Volume VII. He flipped through the pages and saw on the last page a note from Hermione: P.S. I know you're the best dueler in school but...just in case. Next he grabbed Ron's parcel. It also had a note inside.
Dear Harry, Mum said we could have you over for the rest of the summer. Be in front of your house with your stuff tomorrow at noon. Happy Birthday! -Ron
Harry opened the rest of the parcel. Inside was a tin of fudge and a book called Top 100 Quidditch Moves. Two more owls flew in. One dropped a note on his lap and flew away.
Dear Harry, Happy Birthday! Congratulations on becoming Head Boy. Lily and James would've been proud, I know I am. Sirius
He recognized the next owl as a Hogwarts owl. It carried a parcel and an envelope. He read the note from Hagrid and opened the parcel. Inside was a Wizarding Wireless. He read the usual letter from Hogwarts. He picked up Top 100 Quidditch Moves and read until he fell asleep.
