Nalu
Igneel was dead.
'I can't believe he's really gone, I just got him back' Natsu thought as he lay in his hammock staring at the ceiling. Tears started to form in his eyes but he quickly wiped them away. He heard a knock on the door and ignored it. He knew it was one of his guild mates coming to comfort him; he didn't have the strength to face them right now. The knocking continued for a few more seconds and then stopped.
Natsu let out a breath and said "Finally". He turned onto his stomach and once again tears burned his eyes, this time he let them fall. He wept until he was asleep but he did not sleep peacefully, his dreams were filled with images of Igneels demise. He never heard the front door open nor did he hear his name being called until he felt a hand on his shoulder shaking him awake. He opened his eyes and slowly blinked a few times until his vision cleared.
"Lucy" he whispered as he stared at the blond woman standing over him.
"Natsu, are you alright?" she asked as she raised her hand to place it on his cheek. He turned away and said weakly "What are you doing here?"
"I'm worried about you, we all are" she replied. "I'm fine" he snapped back as he got out of his hammock and walked over to stand in front of the door. Lucy looked at him and whispered his name; he cut her off before she could continue. "I know what you are going to say and I don't want to hear it" he said as she began to walk towards him. He held up a hand to stave her off but she kept advancing. Soon he felt her wrap her arms around his waist and lays her head against his shoulder.
In that moment he broke, he fell to his knees and tears began to flow freely. Lucy's grasp on him never faltered, she moved slightly so she could cradle his head on her shoulder. His tears began to seep into her clothing but she did not care sobs wracked his body, she held onto him until his tears finally ceased. Neither said a word as Natsu slowly lifted his head from her shoulders and looked at her. Lucy smiled sweetly at him and moved his hair away from his face.
Her touch ignited a spark as soon as her fingers made contact with his skin, in a second Natsu lost himself and pulled Lucy close to his chest, all breath left her lungs as his lips came crashing down on hers. For a moment Lucy was dumbfounded, it wasn't until she felt Natsu's fingers in her hair that she realized what was happening. She didn't think she just reacted, she leaned her body closer to his; as she did this his grip on her hair changed. He gripped her hair lightly and pulled so her chin tilted up so he could deepen the kiss. She moaned as his tongue slipped into her mouth, her sigh sparked another flame and Natsu abruptly ended the kiss.
Lucy groaned when his lips left hers but gasped when she felt his lips on her neck. She turned to give him better access and he complied. Every kiss seared her skin; she reached up and began to run her fingers in his hair. She sighed his name and moaned once more when his teeth began to tease her earlobe. He whispered her name in between kisses which sent shivers up her spine. Her fingers unraveled themselves from his hair and moved his trace his stomach. Her touch sent shivers up his spine and soon he began to fumble to remove her clothes.
Warm skin finally met warm skin and the two friends turned into lovers…
Afterwards to two lay quietly, limbs still intertwined. Natsu played with Lucy's hair and she traced circles around his navel. Natsu was the first to speak.
"Luce" he whispered.
"Yes" she replied.
"Thanks" he said as he leaned forward to kiss her forehead.
"You're welcome" she replied with a sweet smile. A short while later after the two had fallen asleep the door opened slowly. Happy flew in silently. He found the two still wrapped around each other sleeping soundly. He smiled and flew out the door once more. He decided it might be best to stay at Wendy's that night and give the two some privacy.
