It's a hazard being a creature of nature in a city of over 8 million. Wonder away from Central Park and its sanctuary and you'll find all sorts of obstacles. Honking cars speeding down streets, busy humans rushing to appointments ignorant of a small crisis at their feet, and perhaps the most horrific of them all- storm drains. At least on this day, for this mother duck there seemed to be nothing worse as she stared mournfully down into the sewer through the perforated steel grate. Her chirping flock of fuzzy blond hatchlings had been following instinctively in her wake as she traversed the drain one webbed step at a time. But now, somehow, what had been five was reduced to only one.

"Where does he get off!" Raph fumed as he stomped through the tunnels, "thinks he so good, thinks he's the boss of everybody, I aughta…"

"Chirp, chirp, chirp!"

Raph stilled and took in the unfamiliar noise, his ninja senses heightened and his hands hovering over his sai. He couldn't quite make it out but wouldn't put it past the Foot to be setting a trap so he inched forward. Whatever he imagined he might see, it hadn't been this. Four tiny ducklings flitting about in the sewer muck. Glancing at the drain above, he instantly understood the situation.

"Awww, poor little guys, come on I gotcha!"

No one noticed as a stealthy green hand lifted the grate aside and snatched a mother duck and her remaining baby into the sewer. And no noticed when that same green hand lifted an entire duck family up through a manhole near Turtle Pond. But his brothers certainly noticed when Raph sauntered into the lair with not a scowl but a smug grin and a feather stuck to his shell?
