OK, this is movieverse. It's at the point near the end where Logan's lying on the medical table and Jean says, "Logan, I..." and he cuts her off. Well this line really bugged one of my friends so she asked me to write what Jean would've said. This is probably the stupidest fic I've ever written...but oh well I have writer's block and too much caffeine so enjoy. :)
Jean: Logan, I...
Wolverine: No, Jean. (Takes on dramatic voice) We cannot speak of our unspoken love. You have already committed yourself to Cyclops. We cannot pursue this fleeting attraction.
Jean: Logan, I...
Wolverine: NO! Do you have to make it so much harder? Don't speak of it! It is our cruel fate to be apart. To remain teammates and nothing more, do not go on about what could have been, because it won't be.
Jean: But Logan, I...
Wolverine: Stop I say! Do not promise me eternal love! I cannot return it for I am not the one to who you are committed! Go now before we speak words we'll regret later...
Jean:: (exasperated) Logan, I...
Wolverine: Think of Scott!! Don't betray his love! Do not...

Wolverine: (halts in mid-sentence) ..Yes?
