TEDDY BEARS
Ursa looked from her book when the Kazekage walked through her bedroom door. Before the door had closed behind him, his hat was hanging on the hooks beside the door and the his cloak soon followed.
"Ohayou," she chimed and snapped her book shut. Ursa crawled to the edge of the bed and met Gaara. She sat on her knees and stared at him happily.
"Hello," he said and placed his hand against her cheek. When she smiled, so did he. "How was your day?" Removing his hand from her face, he took the seat beside her and held her hand.
"Good. Katniss just arrived at District 13, the one that isn't supposed to exist!"
The light that brightened her eyes released Gaara of the stress from that day's activities: morning meeting, handing out missions, afternoon council followed by another meeting with the liaison from The Mist, followed by handing out the second round of missions, followed by the night meeting and a courtesy dinner with the liaison from The Mist. A relieved sigh escaped him.
Sitting behind her, delicately sat against the pillows and beside her discarded book, was the stuffed bear he had as a child. It was as clean as it ever was, groomed regularly and well taken care of.
"Really?"
