It was a normal day, just like anyother at Hollywood Arts. A certain group of six friends were sitting in the cafeteria chatting and laughing, while eating their lunch.
Tori was whining over something that Trina did, Andre looked quite interested, while Jade was looking at her with a look, which clearly said "NOBODY CARES!"
Cat had brought her juicer, once again, and was being her usual cheerful, bubbly self. While Robbie was having an argument with Rex.
Beck was sitting silently observing everything, he was hoping that Tori would end her rambling before Jade would make her shut up in her own style. To be honest, he himself was getting a headache hearing Tori's whining.
Seriously, how is it possible for anyone to talk nonstop for one and a half hour continuously? Beck had no idea, but it's Tori we're talking about. For all Beck knew, She's the most energetic girl in Hollywood Arts...
Suddenly Beck heard a giggle, he turned around to see Cat giggling to herself like a three year old. She was unsually happy today, probably because of her juicer.
Beck really had the urge to roll his eyes at her. She was just like a small kid who always needed to be taken care of. But her innocence is exactly what Beck admired. Some times he wondered if she ever faces teen problems like other teenagers...
Beck only had one conclusion...
She's an airhead!
But this is what worries him the most. Somebody needs to be on her guard to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid.
He always has this wierd urge to protect her, to defend her. He just can't stand when people call her crazy, or when they make fun of her, calling her wierd etc...
And he didn't even know why!
The truth is that even he himself gets annoyed by her childish-ness!
But he wouldn't allow others to be rude with her...
Why?!
He was lost in his thought when the bell rang. Everyone was hastily running to get to their classes.
He was surprised to see that Jade had suppressed the urge to kill Tori for annoying her half to death!
Even though it had almost been a year since he and Jade had broken up, he knew exactly what she was thinking of doing just by looking at her face.
Finally, Tori stopped talking and took a deep breath saying, "welp there goes the bell, we should probably get to class."
"yeah, we probably should. Before SOMEONE gets killed by me!" Jade replied, rolling her eyes slightly.
Tori gulped and ran out of the cafeteria before anyone had a chance to say anything else.
After the school, beck was going down the hallway when he saw something from the corner of his eye...
There at the end of the unusually empty hallway, two guys were cornering a girl and asking her something.
He would have ignored them but the boys were looking quite cunning and they had this odd smirk on their faces. And although he couldn't see the girl's face, her soft voice sounded familiar.
As he got closer and closer to them, he could hear their conversation more clearly...
" So what do you say?" one boy asked.
" wanna come to my place tonight...?"
" Umm...I don't know, I dont think mom will allow me to..." replied the girl in a soft voice which sounded all to familiar to Beck.
His ears perked up hearing her voice.
'Is that'...
" Oh come on Cat! Stop being such a baby, it'll be fun. You don't have to tell anyone . I'll invite my other friends 're beautiful Cat! I told my friends about you, they wanted to meet you, they just want to... Have a little fun...with you".
Said the other boy stiffing a laugh as he high-fived his friend.
Beck's blood boiled...
fun? With his Cat?
HOW DARE THEY?!
" Oooh, You mean there will be a party?! Oh wait... Will I get candy?
" yeah cat, you'll get candy. "
Said one of them rolling his eyes.
" YAY!" Cat yelled happily.
" just remember my kitty" one of the boy said seductively as he grabbed Cat by her waist pulling her closer.
"Not a word about this, to anybody! ."
"Kay-Kay" said Cat innocently.
"That's my kitty!" the boy said in her ear pulling her closer to him.
Unknown to them, Beck was standing behind them, his blood Boiling and fist clenched...
How DARE THEY touch his kitty-Cat?!
He couldn't even believe what he heard.
Those two BASTARDS wanted to rap his Kitty?!...
With one swift motion he grabbed the man holding Cat in his arms, pulled Cat away from him and punched him in the face.
" .YOU?!"
"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER?! "
He punched him in the face once again.
"What did you say? You wanted to have some FUN with her huh?! Well I'll show you FUN!" Beck said as he punched him in the gut!
Cat was scared to see the scene in front of her, tears fell down her face as soft wimpers came out of her mouth.
The other man hit Beck on head with his fist, beck threw the boy, who he was punching, aside and grabbed the other guy, gave him two to three good punches in the gut. He kicked and punched the two guys until he was sure they were bleeding.
The two of them couldn't take it anymore, they were scared and ran away as fast as they could!
Beck turned around, still angry to see a wimpering Cat standing in a corner.
He went towards her.
" DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE ABOUT TO DO TO YOU?! he said harshly. Grabbing her by her arms.
Cat just wimpered as more tears came out of her eyes...
" God Cat! Why are you so stupid?! Please just GROW UP. Okay ?! Life's not a fairy tale! I am tired of always having to watch your back!
Cat backed away from him, and put her head down sobbing silently. Small tears falling down from her face. Afraid to face him.
Suddenly, Beck was regretting everything he said. He realized that he had made Cat: the most cheerful person he knew on the planet cry...
And he didn't like it one bit!
He mentally slapped himself, hurting Cat was the last thing he wanted to do!
He slowly approached her as if he was approaching a baby...
"H-Hey... Cat...I-Iam sorry, I really didn't mean to..."
But Cat just backed away from him even more. Sobbing silently...
His heart sank...
"Cat... please! You know I didn't mean it! You know I would never hurt you, I was just angry at those... Stupid BASTARDS!"
"Cat...? "
No reply...
"Kit-Cat?"
Still No use...
Suddenly an idea came to his mind.
"Hey, look what I got for you Cat!"
He said as he picked out something from his pocket.
But Cat wasn't even fazed, still turned away from him.
"Okay then, I guess I'll just have to eat this chocolate all by myself then?!" he said trying to hold back a smile.
Cat's ears perked up.
" wait... Did you say... Chocolate?!"
"Yep! "
"Can I have some?! Cat asked innocently.
Beck tried hard to hold back a laugh,
so innocent...
But that's the problem, she's just too innocent!
" Of course, my kitty!" he said smirking.
Wait...'My kitty'?!
Where did that even come from?!
Does he really think Cat as 'His'?
No way...
It's just a lil sister feeling he has for her.
Isn't it?!
But then, why couldn't he stand the thought of Cat with anyother guy?!
NAH... It's probably because she's just too innocent and he doesn't want her heart broken. That's it!
He was too lost in his thoughts to realize that Cat had eaten the whole chocolate by herself...
"CAT?! we were supposed to share!"
He almost whined.
" Oopsies! Dont worry beck! I'll make you some red velvet cupcakes to make it up to you! K?! Asked Cat smiling.
Now that's the Cat he knew!
" K! " Beck smiled back.
"Cat...?! "
"Yeah?"
"I am sorry!"
"Stop saying that...
Its okay!" cat replied back.
She was about to leave when...
"And Cat...?!"
"Yeah?"
"please be careful from now on, oh and no talking to unknown guys. Stay out of trouble... K?!
" What's that supposed to mean?! "she asked her signature line.
" Nothing! Nothing!... I-I just... "
She giggled hearing him stutter.
"K! See ya Beck!"
She chirped happily and ran out!
Beck just chuckled watching her.
He couldn't believe what had happened today. Even Thinking about it made his blood boil. He can't even imagine what could Have happened if she fell for their trick...
He didnt know what he thinks of Cat. But all he knew is that he wants to protect her as long as he can.
Bcz She's His innocent little kitty...
