Tonks couldn't help but worry about Remus leaving her once more. They say that things come in threes and somewhere in the back of her mind she apparently agreed.

Every time he left the house, time seemed to go much slower. Her first thought every time he couldn't sleep and had left the bed was that had left her for good rather than splashing his face with water in the room next door.

However, her paranoid, yet tragically justified mindset swiftly vanished after the birth of Teddy.

His face, though pale and lined, appeared radiant as he became engrossed in Teddy's wide, innocent smile as his tiny hands reached our to touch Remus' nose.

She wasn't sure whether or not to blame her hormones but she found herself crying. Remus looked around, alarmed at first then broke into a slightly confused smile as he saw his wife smiling despite her tears.

As she sat down beside her husband and son and wrapped her arms around them she tried best to explain, "I never expected to find peace, especially this kind of peace in the middle of war. You're both so beautiful."

Remus, though still slightly bewildered by her tears, smiled and said softly, "I know exactly what you mean" as he pressed a light kiss to her forehead.

The moment was cut short as Fred Weasley's voice entered the room via his silvery, glowing patronus.

"Harry's at Hogwarts. We're preparing to fight. Meet at the Hogs Head."

A/N: I teared-up a little while writing it. Having Fred's voice was a little cruel I admit but I DIDN'T KILL THEM. Blame Jo Rowling for that. (Although I also have to "blame" Jo Rowling for everything awesome that's ever happened to me ever, so I don't exactly hate her. I LOVE JO ROWLING SO MUCH!)
