This story takes place sometime before Transformers: The Last Knight.

"Grimlock, put the cruiser down!" Cade yelled at the large silver dinobot, who reluctantly complied.
The police cruiser transformed when it hit the ground, revealing that it was Barricade. The Decepticon tried to shake off Grimlock's 'saliva' that was still clinging stubbornly to his armour. "Ugh... Gross," he grumbled.
Four sets of weapons were immediately aimed at him. "I love a firefight in the morning!" Hound exclaimed.
"I can take him down," Crosshairs growled, "no problem!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" Bumblebee's radio added, playing an audio clip of two young human voices.
Once Cade had recovered from the shock of the cruiser being a Decepticon, he demanded, "What are you doing here?!"
"Being chewed," Barricade replied snarkily, "what does it look like?"
Grimlock leaned his face dangerously close to the Decepticon's, snarling.
"Easy there..." Barricade took a nervous step backwards, flinching as Grimlock let out a particularly loud snarl of warning. "Don't eat me again!"
Crosshairs snorted. "Just let me shoot him, it'll be easier."
Ignoring the sharpshooter, Grimlock roared in Barricade's face, knocking the much smaller bot backwards through a row of cars. Barricade scrambled to his feet and ran, Bumblebee, Crosshairs, and Drift chasing him with Hound close behind them. Grimlock bounded after his prey, tail swishing happily.
Cade blinked once in confusion before slowly shaking his head. He knew that if Barricade was lucky enough to escape with his life he would probably be smart enough not to return alone, and the Autobots wouldn't be bored today.
Cade leaned against one of the cars, listening to the various threats and insults the bots were shouting at each other, laughing quietly whenever someone came up with a particularly creative one.
"Get back here, glitch, I'm gonna blast you from here straight back to Cybertron!" Crosshairs could be heard yelling from the other end of the junkyard, followed by a loud crash and Grimlock's roar.
"You're gonna wish ya had never been forged when I'm done with ya!" Hound added, then something exploded .
"Yep, they'll be occupied for a while," Cade chuckled, then added as an afterthought , "this'll make for a good story, I bet..."
