SO I'm a nervous wreck and deciding I needed some good ole Gabe/Cas fluff!

The wind blew at the window panes of the Salvage house. The rain pelted at the roof and windows alike. Lightening flashed across the sky and thunder crashed. The occupants of the house slept soundly. Bobby under his huge pile of blankets, Sam and Dean sharing the large couch after having fallen asleep doing late night research, Raziel curled around his giant stuffed cow Michael had given him (don't ask..), Samael wrapped in one of Lucifer's old cloaks from Heaven. Then there was Castiel. Tossing and turning and whimpering in his sleep.

Castiel hated dreams, which didn't happen very often, but when they did they were usually very vivid. He sat up in bed with wide eyes that scanned the room for any of the monsters currently haunting him in his dreams. This was all Raz's fault. Him and his dumb scary movie where everyone died in the scariest ways possible at the end movie. He had convinced everyone to watch it before bedtime and now Cas couldn't sleep. His eyes scanned the darkest corners in his room and he almost went through the roof when he heard a noise.

He'd never admit it but right now, in this moment, he didn't want to be alone. Castiel bowed his head slightly and tugged at the bond he shared until someone tugged back. He felt a strong and older grace caress his. There was a silent moment that was filled in the sound of fluttering wings and Castiel was no longer the only one in the dark bed room.

Gabriel had felt fear in his young charges grace. He gently caressed t with his own and quietly made his way to the bed. Castiel practically jumped out of his skin when he saw the moving figure in the shadows. This made Gabriel frown.

"Whats got ya so jumpy kiddo?"

Castiel looked in the direction of the voice he had wanted to hear all night and lunged himself into the open arms of Gabriel. The archangel easily caught him in his arms and rocked him gently to calm his quivering. Gently walking back to Cas's bed and laying down in it, pulling his young charge up onto his chest.

"What's got you so scared?"

Castiel shook his head in either embarrassment or fright, but he was guessing the first one. The grip on his shirt could be borderline angelic and Gabriel ran a calming hand through the downy feathers of Cas's dark left wing.

"Cas?"

"It was all Raz's idea"

He really should have known. Gabriel sighed and ran a hand through the downy feathers again and simply became delighted when he heard Cas purr softly. He'd have to talk to Michael about that kid, it was fine if it was just Raz, heck even Raz and Samael. But when it involved Cas and scared the crap out of his little charge than it became his problem and nobody scares his charge, nobody. He smiled at how Cas continued to fight the oncoming sleep, his eyes fluttering to stay open. Gabriel gently traced his forehead with two fingers and watched as his eyes slid shut.

"That's it, go back to sleep. Just a movie kiddo, not real. Go back to sleep"

Gabriel watched Cas as he slept for a couple of minutes before shrugging carefully mindful of the young seraph slumbering in his arms. He could get some shut eye.

"That's simply adorable"

"I'm gonna take a picture"

"If you do he will smite you Dean"

Sam had went to wake up Cas the next morning after waking the other younglings only to find him wrapped in Gabriel's arms and both sound asleep unconsciously snuggling into each other. He had called Dean at the utter adorableness. Sam quickly ushered the older hunter out of the room before any pictures could be taken and any smiting could happen.

Cas could sleep in this morning.

Fluff!
