Another one shot...why does that not suprise me...lol well yeah...I put my I-pod on shuffle and now I have 2 more stories that are bugging me...and then the endles possibilities of my mind. Anyway...the song is Naturally-Selena Gomez....I tried to change the ending up a bit. I also end my one shots with KC or RIley kissing each other again...I tried to change it up a little, but plz enjoy/ review! =]
Movie night. It is what the Othersiders did the Friday nights they weren't investigating, all packed together in Riley's inviting family room. And that is exactly where tonight.
"Okay, what movie guys?" Riley asked, combing through the wooden shelves of DVDs.
"I'm in the mood for something funny; how about Benchwarmers?" Sam suggested.
"I love that movie!" Zack shouted as he came into the room carrying a bowl of popcorn that wasn't going to be full much longer.
"I'm okay with that, is it okay with the girls?" Riley asked the room.
"It's fine with us." Jackie answered.
"Benchwarmers it is." Riley announced and pulled out of the jam packed shelves. He slipped it out of the case and into the DVD player in one swift movement. It only took a few moments before the movie was playing and Riley was settled on the couch. They were too lazy to fast forward through the previews so they laughed and commented on the movies that were coming out. Riley shot a look to KC, her eyes meeting his before turning the other direction in a split second.
"You're awfully quiet tonight, KC. Anything wrong?" Riley asked, noticing her abnormal behavior.
"No, I'm fine." She replied quietly, pulling her knees up to her chest.
"Are you cold?" Riley questioned.
"A little, but really I'm fine." She replied, her voice just a breath.
"Are you sure?" Riley continued to ask, bothered by her lack of personality.
"I guess, how should I know?" KC replied, her voice raising slightly. Riley scooted closer and put his hand on her cheek.
"KC, I can tell something is wrong. Tell me, you can tell me anything. You have to understand that." Riley whispered. The others still hadn't noticed the conversation between them. They were too engrossed by the beginning of the movie.
"You really wanna know?" KC asked cautiously.
"Of course."
"I'm in love with you, Riley. I can't help it. I'm just naturally attracted to you." She whispered, her heart beating out of her chest. He was stiff and emotionless for a moment. For a second, KC thought that she had just ruined their friendship, but she felt something go through her. It was a feeling similar to electricity, but it was very dull yet comforting. She suddenly felt something on her lips. She knew immediately that Riley was kissing her, and she kissed back willingly. They pulled back slowly, the others still not noticing them.
"I naturally love you." Riley whispered, hugging her closer to him. She smiled up at him. Her want had been satisfied, and she slowly fell into Riley's warm embrace. She looked at him, a smile curved across her face. Riley tilted his head down and kissed her again, letting the sound of the movie relax them even further into each others' arms.
