A super Quick, extremely random, little story.

I looked up just in time to see the panic in Edward's eyes.
Suddenly Paul pounced for Alice, I felt my heart drop. Before I could even move to protect her, she kicked the wolf across the room with as much force I thought impossible for her tiny body to produce. I reached for her before Paul had the chance to even think about attacking her again, and protectively embraced her in my arms. Paul quickly got up and shot out the door.
I couldn't contain my anger, "How dare he!" I yelled.
Jacob got up quickly, "Alice! I'm so sorry," he was apologizing on behalf of that dog!
I had never referred to the wolves like that, but Paul had just crossed the line.
He swiftly followed his friend out of the door.
I looked at my little girl, Edward was right behind her
"Are you okay?" we both asked.
To mine and Edward's surprise she giggled.
"Sometimes you guys are just as bad as Jasper."
I smiled at that, gave her a once over for any injuries, and then kissed her forehead.
That mutt was going to get a piece of my mind.
Edward laughed sadly, "Exactly what I was thinking".
For a moment, I thought Edward was referencing my thought, but then I realized he was looking at Alice.
Alice and he were having one of their "confidential conversations".
"What is it?" I asked.
Alice looked up at me, "Don't be mad at Paul," that was Alice, never upset at anyone, so I felt compelled to be upset for both her and I, "Really, please don't be," she continued.
I pulled her into a a hug again, "you could of been hurt, Alice."
"I know", she spoke into my shirt, "but if Jasper finds out, he'll be mad enough for everybody."
This made me laugh. Just then Jacob came through the door, "One question, uh, are you going to tell Jasper about this?"
I released Alice from my grasp to hear her answer.
She mumbled, "I may not like Paul... but I don't want him dead."
Edward Jacob, and I all grinned, because we knew it was the truth.
