I no no own Merlin because if I did this would be the end of season 3.

Madness is Rising

Uther hated his life. Here he was, another excuse of a leader who had tried to protect his kingdom and failed. Maybe as a child he had enjoyed hearing of the arrogant sorcerers being excecuted for their wrongdoings (*hint*Sigan*hint*), but he despised the stories of a leader failing his underlings. (Hey, he wasn't heartless but he wasn't exactly going to be a namby-pamby goody two-shoes!)

Why did he not see it coming? He had been so blind... Morgana was actually right...He had been cruel and a tyrant... She had every reason to hate him..."NO!" the corrupt Uther screamed. "Morgana had magic! It was your fault for not noticing...YOU FAILED CAMELOT...You have earned this throne and the people's respect and a mere girl has stolen it from you...Sure the threat has ended, but Arthur has the throne...It's mine, all mine! Arthur said he was in no shape to rule, but he was fine, just fine! All he needed was to clear his head..."

The caring Uther (little as it was) rebutted "Maybe it is time for Arthur to take the throne. He has been of age so long...The people love him and don't cringe when he walks down the street...I'm not sure if I'm needed anymore...I think it's my time to leave."

Corrupt Uther stood up from the chair, ready to punch something. "NO! Arthur is lost without me! He is too young! He's not even a leader!"

Caring Uther forced Corrupt Uther back into the chair and slapped him across the face (it hurt) "Stop that!" he snarled, "I know, you may have had fun when it was your time to rule, but now, it's Arthur's turn!" He socked Corrupt Uther in the gut, which was replied by a small huff.

This battle of the Uthers went on for several days, when finally both Uthers gave up, leaving only Bare Minimum Uther, keeping the body alive, and the occaisional eating and speech.

He had gone mad.

What do you think of my first one-shot?
