Wammy's; First Generation

Note- I am aware that A is a male. But says who? Just B I guess. In this story and all of mine after this, A will be female. Deal with it.

The several children were all escorted into the large well furnished room. It was snowing in Winchester and the newly lit fire felt wonderful on the skin of all the children. There were eight children total; all very, very different.

All of them, names unknown. Names forgotten.

Then two men entered the warm room. One, a very kind looking man, and the other... very nervous looking. The kind looking man began to speak.

"Hello and welcome children. My name is Mr. Wammy." He said motioning to himself. "And this is Roger." He motioned next to the other man. All the children looked at them.

"Today is the first day you all begin living together here in Wammy's House. All of you striving for the ultimate goal; the title L." This caught all the children's attention. They all knew what the title L, meant.

"But as you know, as potential successors of L, your personal information must be forever forgotten. You will all be assigned new titles to replace your previous names." He smiled and began to gaze around the room. His eyes fell on the first girl he took into Wammy's. A petite girl with long brown hair and violet eyes. He walked up to her.

"You, child, shall be A." She looked back at him with her marvelous violet eyes. She simply nodded back in return, pulling her legs up to her chest.

He next walked up to a slim boy with fairly long hair as black as pitch. He had an almost devious look into his eyes which also seemed to glint red every once in a while.

"You will be, well," Mr. Wammy chuckled. "B." The newly named B looked back at him as he pondered his new name. He then gave a devilish smile as he decided he liked it.

This naming continued until Mr. Wammy titled the last girl 'H.' He then spoke again.

"Now children, because there is only eight of you, you shall each receive you own room." Roger opened a small brown box. It was filled with eight small key chains, each with a key and a dog tag that had only a letter engraved into them. A through H. It didn't take the genius minds of the new Wammy's House residents to figure out which keys belonged to who.

"Now children, get some sleep. Tomorrow, you will begin your training. You will also get the opportunity to get to know each other better. Good relationships with your peers is necessary for healthy brain function.

"Now, goodnight, Letters."

What do you think? I know it pretty much sucks, and it's horribly short, but it's my first try at a Death Note fan fiction. Notice I only introduced A and B. I'm still in the developing process of C, D, E, F, G, and H. I'm going to give them all unique personalities and habits. Please review and give me feedback, I need it desperately. Thanks,
