Prologue
Sarutobi sighed as he looked over the latest reports concerning a certain blond haired boy. "What am I supposed to do Minato?" He asked while looking at the ceiling. "This is the Tenth time time they have tried to kill him in the 5 Years since the fox was sealed. H barely survived this time." again Sarutobi sighed as he began to look through the papers on his desk looking for the latest reports from Jiraiya.
Finding the paper he was looking for for he called out, "Mai, will you come in here please?" A young woman poked her head in the door to the office. "Yes, Hokage-sama?" " I would like for you to send for jiraaiya please. Hes should be in his usual place by the hot springs," He stated. Mai gave a distatseful look. " Right away Hokage-sama."
1 Hour Later
"You called for me Sensei?" said a White haired an from the window. Sarutobi sighed again. "How many times do I have I told you to use the door Jiraiya?" Striking a thoughtful pose, Jiraiya said," ZI think that was number 235 Sensei." Sarutobi laughed. " I Guess youll never listwen to me then," Sarutobi said. "Anyway, the reason I called you here is regarding you upcoming mission to Dark Country." Jiraiya looked reserved at that. " Yeah. What about it? We havnt heard anything from south of wind in quite awhile and that region is largley unexplored." " I would like you to take naruto with you jiraiya. They attacked him today and he bareley pulled through this time. Even with his accelerated healing he almost died."
"You cant be serious Sensei! The kid is five years old, I cant look after him and trave at the same time. If we were attacked he would be a major liability." Sarutobi took a puff from his pipe. " Jiraiya, He would be able to take care of himself with minimum effort on your part. I received word today that for the last year he has been living on the streets fending for himself.' Jiraiya calmed down a bit. "But there is still the fact that he would be a liability sensei. Add to that the fact that y pace would be slowed to a crawl and your making mission that will already take several years closer to a decade long mission." With another sigh sarutobi stated," Jiraiya, he was able to outrun and hide from multiple Jounin and anbu for close to 5 hours. The only reason he is in the hospital now is the fact that he was exhausted and was finnaly cornered. He would not be a burden. And I am aware that he would slow you down a bit so I am prepared to compensate for it."
Jiraiya gave a sad look. "Your not going to let me say no are you Sensei?" The Hokage laughed at that. "No jiraiya. Im afraid you dont have a choice in the matter. He is going with you. Ill giveyou a little money to get hiom supplies at the nearest village, for no one here will sell to him. You will also be expected to train him Jiraiya. I dont care what you have to say about it, that boy has enough natural talent that he will most likeley dwarf you and me in streangth one day. You leave in one week.I sugest you get ready and buy any teaching supplies youll need before you leave." Jiraya gave a resigned look. " Yes Sensei." and with that he leapt out the window.
" I hope this is enough Minato. Its all I can do to pull this under the councils nose. Itll have to be enough."
