About My Dad.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pirates of the Caribbean.
Hello there. I'm William Turner, III. Most people just call me Willy though. You can call me that too, if you want. I'm nine- years-old. Soon I'm going to be ten. But this story isn't about me. It's about my father.
My dad is also called William Turner. I was named after him. Dad is a good man. He's a pirate as well. I only just met him for the first time last week. Before that, he had been far away for the past 10 years.
This was because he had a job to do. It was a very special and important job. My dad was the captain of the Flying Dutchman. He needed to ferry the souls of people who had died at sea to the other side. I'm proud of him for doing that. It is a kind and noble thing to help other people out.
It has been only a short time since I met my dad, but I already feel very comfortable and safe around him. He tells me he loves me everyday. I do the same. He and I talk about things that I've never told anybody else before.
On the night he came back, I had a bad dream. It was about father having to leave on the Dutchman again. Dad came in to comfort me. That was when I learned his curse was broken. He could stay. You should have seen the look on my face when I heard the beat of his heart. However, it's not like that it was a new sound for me. My mother would often put the chest his heart was in next to my bedside at night. That helped me get to sleep at night. It was like a lullaby.
I was confused at first. Hearing dad's heart from within his body, instead of the cold, hard, metal chest that I had been so used to, was odd. Now I like it.
I have a long life ahead of me. There will be good times. There will be bad times. I'll get through them. I know I will. My dad will be with me every step of they way. He is going to teach, guide, love and protect me. My dad is the best dad in the world. I'm lucky to have him. That's good enough for me.
The End.
A/N: When Willy talks about his nightmare, yes he is referring to the dream he had in my other story about him, While I Keep on Dreaming for Me.
