I stared transfixed at the bright red blood that marred my hands. I had killed him finally. I had watched as the life sustaining liquid oozed from his body, and I had relished the last gasps of breath that the man had taken as he felt his life essence drain from his body. It felt good to say the least. It gave me at least a little bit of control that this bastard had so viciously ripped from me so many years ago. He had left me battered, bloody to die and now I would do the same to him. His body quivered and shook as I buried the knife deep in his stomach, impaling him. I had followed him all night blending into the shadows. It didn't hurt that he had been drunk. It was almost a pity that he hadn't been full aware though, it would have been nice to hear him beg for his worthless life. It didn't matter to me though; I had finally gotten my revenge. I bend down to meet his dim gaze, inhaling the sweet nectar that gave me my soul back.
