Pacing

by Isabel

Remus hates pacing, but he still does, because he's anxious.

He paces when Sirius is away on an aurormission.

Because when Sirius isn't with him he can't think of anything but him and if Sirius then is out doing something that Remus doesn't know he has to imagine him and then he can't help but imagine him hurt, so because of that he gets anxious and nervous and worried and therefore he has to pace.

He usually paces in the hallway because there he can watch out for Sirius and still being near the kitchen if he wants to eat.

The only problem is that in the hallway there is a rug and as Sirius has been away much this month the rug isn't having a very good time.

Actually, it's getting kind of worn out and isn't at all comfortable to walk on anymore.

So when Sirius steps in through the door later that evening with a brand new rug rolled up over his shoulder, Remus just smiles broadly and flungs his arms around Sirius neck.
