Back in The Action
Maya Fey burst through the door of the Wright Anything Agency with a bright smile on her face. "NICK!" Maya yelled out in joy as she hugged the shabbily dressed Phoenix. "Maya! It's so amazing to see you after so long. You hadn't called in a long while, not even a letter or a postcard? I was starting to get worried!" Phoenix exclaimed. Maya looked embarrassed. "Sorry about that Nick, I guess I got caught up in things back home. As soon as I heard the news I rushed here right away! I'm so happy you passed the Bar Exam, looks like we are back in the action again, huh?" Maya asked.
Phoenix sighed heavily. "As great as it is to have my lawyers badge back I'm in a huge struggle right now. My Subordinated and I have been looking everywhere but no one wants to hire me to defend them." Phoenix shrugged and sat down on the couch next to him. "That's terrible! How have Apollo and Trucy been doing since last we talked?" Maya asked curiously. "There doing great. Apollo has turned into an amazing defense lawyer since he started working with me. He's obviously not as good as me yet though. Even though it's been what? 7 or 8 years now? I may be old, but once I get in that courtroom. I'm still as good as I ever was!" Phoenix remarked confidently.
"Ha-ha, I wouldn't doubt it for a second! How is Trucy doing? Still into magic?" Maya asked with a smirk on her face. " Yes! She is more enthusiastic about it now than ever . She is constantly doing shows and actually making a good chunk of cash from it. I'm so proud of her." Phoenix exclaimed joyfully. Just them Maya burst out into questioning. "EDGEWORTH? Have you talked to him at all?" Maya asked impatiently. Phoenix looked upset for just a moment. " Miles? I tried to get into contact with him to tell him the great news. Apparently he's travelling abroad again. Maybe we can try and get ahold of him later on today". "That would be amazing , I haven't talked to him in ages. Oh! By the way , Pearly said she is going to be visiting soon. Now what is this of you not being able to find any cases to work on?"
"Its insane Maya, you wouldn't believe how much of a struggle this has become for me. I mean things were going amazing at first with my return case*. But now I cant find any cases at all!" Phoenix complained.
Just then the evening news began appearing on the television. They both stared in awe and joy as they looked at what was going on. "Well Nick, looks like that problem of yours has just been remedied" Maya said cheerfully. Phoenix stood up from the couch and ran towards the door with Maya in behind. " Where are we going Nick !?". Phoenix looked at her proudly. " The Detention Center. Its just like you said. We are back in the action. Now lets go find Apollo and Trucy!
