A/N: I honestly am just throwing this chapter out there to see how it goes. This is obviously a next gen fic, but I hope you like it anyways. It will probably reference my other stories Something Wicked This Way Comes and Double Double Toil and Trouble, but not to the point that people who haven't read those stories will be confused. Anyways, let me know what you think of the beginning, and I hope you enjoy. =)

Disclaimer: I don't own the Covenant.

One day I might be able to explain to myself why it was worth putting myself through this hassle. In my head I couldn't seem to figure out. Was she worth it? The true voice inside my head resolutely answers back, Yes. It wasn't just my life I decided to screw up. It was Chaun's, too. It was our choice to come back to Ipswich. I came back because of vengeance, and she made me stay for something else.

Making friends with the people I wanted nothing more to do than hate was not the plan.

Falling in love with the girl who was the daughter of your sworn enemies was downright out of the question.

I am Michael Pope, son of Chase Goodwin-Pope, and I've come to Ipswich for my vengeance.

I hated the way everyone stared at me like I was either a freak or something to be claimed. To everyone's misinformation, I was neither. I wasn't like my brother, and I had absolutely no intention to be. I enjoyed my taste of the Power and the special extra talents that I had inherited from my mother, but being the daughter of the great Senator Caleb Danvers and the imposing Professor Leona Danvers was living hell. I had one option. Be the Golden Girl or die trying. Don't get me wrong I love Gabe like any sister would, but I just didn't want to be like him or any of the Sons or Daughters. They could follow the path all the rest of our family did, but I had every intention of being different.

If it meant falling for the one guy, my family would hate. That was definitely high up on my list of things to do.

I am Camila Danvers, daughter of Caleb Danvers, and I'd do anything leave Ipswich.
