"Naruto's been gone for a really long time, hasn't he?" Sakura inquired, talking to the fellow members of her generation, as they waited to hear a report on the current state of the village and what they could do to help.

"Yeah, two years. But I heard that he was following in Jiraiya's footsteps, and doing 'research' to write some books," Ino teased.

"Please. I hear he's on a spiritual journey to find the best ramen in the world!" Chouji argued.

Sai smirked. "Or he's looking for a witch doctor to help him find a way to enlarge his small dick."

There was a prolonged awkward silence, before the conversation picked up again.

"I bet he's off learning ridiculously complicated jutsu again!" Kiba exclaimed.

"Um, I'm sure that Naurto-kun is off training to become stronger, not just for jutsu," Hinata stuttered slightly.

"He's probably off forgetting more of his comrades," Shino spat.

"Get over it," Kiba whispered loudly.

Tenten smiled. "Wherever he is, I'm sure he's doing fine!"

Lee jumped onto a bench and pumped a fist into the air. "Fine? Tenten, I am sure he is doing so much more than fine! He is probably exploring the many youthful prospects of the outside world in a most successful and dedicated manner!" he yelled.

"He's probably off changing more people," Neji supposed.

"People? Ha. By now, he's probably gone off to changing the entire rest of the world," Shikamaru chuckled.

"Actually, I bet he was just on a really long, really boring, top-secret peacekeeping mission that Kakashi and Tsunade recommended would help him to gain likelihood of becoming Hokage," a voice from behind all of them spoke.

"No way," Kiba grinned.

"Speak of the devil," Shikamaru smiled.

"Naruto?" Sakura screamed.

Naruto smiled. "Accept no substitutes."

Anyway… review?
