Bunny!
This is a really short One-shot! :P Season 1, episode 2 time frame.
I don't own these characters. They just rock so hard, I can't help but write about them! :)
Betty was walking to her desk. She was upset and annoyed. She was teased and had people pick on her a lot, but now she just had enough. It had been a whole week of pure crappiness. It didn't help that someone...most likely Marc and Amanda...were holding Betty's bunny hostage. After all the mess with the Book, she just wanted to fall in her bed and eat some ice cream. Although things were better between her and Daniel, it felt like she was re-living high school with all the drama and pranks and teasing. She thought grown-ups would be above that, but no, not a MODE magazine. These people were full of themselves. She was trying her best to give them a chance. Maybe they could all be friends someday...maybe...
She took a deep breath crumpling the picture of her bunny in the toilet. Why did they have to put her AND her belongings through crap? What did her bunny ever do to anyone? That bunny was supposed to be good luck. It seemed that luck was NOT on her side at the moment. She was happy that things went well with The Book for Daniel and the Natalie Whitman photo fiasco. And she was relieved to still have her job.
She arrived at her desk throwing the paper in the trash and slumped in her chair. She was surprised to see her bunny sitting there right in front of her keyboard with a note on it. She smiled and opened the note.
I found your bunny. He won't be getting into any more trouble. Thanks for all of your help. =)
~Daniel
A bright smile came across her face. She looked at her bunny. It looked all cleaned and had stitches on it. She laughed looking at it. She knew that she and her bunny were going to go through a lot here, but that they could make it through anything. She smiled and looked up through the glass seeing Daniel sitting behind his desk flipping through The Book. She got up and walked into his office.
"Hi" she said sweetly.
Daniel smiled looking up at her. "Hey Betty. I'm glad you stopped in. I want to show you something." Betty smiled and walked over. He slid The Book closer to her. She leaned a little and looked to see her name spelled correctly. "Betty Suarez. Assistant to the Editor in Chief. Cool. Thanks Daniel."
He looked at her with a smile. She smiled. "Thank you for finding my bunny, too."
A playful smirk graced his lips. "You and your bunny are on my team now. And no one messes with my team"
A bright smile came to her face. "Thank you, Daniel."
"Thank you, Betty." Betty walked around his desk and stood in front of it. "So, I guess I'll see you later."
"Yep...have a good night, Betty." He sent her a warm smile. Betty smiled and walked out. She walked over to her desk and placed her bunny on the far left corner. She looked at it and through the glass again. She smiled and got her things to head home. She had no doubt that she and her bunny were going to make it through this journey.
AN: They're so cute! :) let me know what you think! :P
