So as I was writing As the Red Sun Rises (Another Doctor Who fic i'm writing) the idea for this oneshot popped into my head and wouldn't leave me the bloody alone so I finally wrote it out an here you are : Banana Hog.
The Doctor placed his sonic screwdriver in his mouth while he arranged the loose wires of the TARDIS with his free hand. There wasn't much to do while Rose slept. It was either read or work on the on his beloved ship. It wasn't often he chose the latter; the TARDIS needed fixing. There was always something that could be improved. He pulled the sonic screwdriver from his mouth and soniced the loose wires together in a position he deemed fit extravagantly.
The Doctor had been admiring his handwork when he heard Rose cry out in pain. He jumped up in shock and smashed the top of his head on the console.
"Rose?" The doctor yelled as he hoisted himself up and ran down the corridor into her room.
Rose was propped up by her elbows with one of her knees up and the other was layed out and her blond hair was an utter mess. she looked up at him trough her hair. "Doctor? It's okay I'm alright, sorta."
"Sorta?" The Doctor said perplexed. "You practically screamed."
Rose looked a tad embarrassed. "I think I just gave my self a charlie horse. That's all."
'Ah Rose!" He laughed. "You have to eat your bananas Rose. Bananas are good for you."
Rose winced as she stretched out her toes. "Well that's sorta hard with you hogging them all, yeah."
The Doctor looked taken aback. "I do not!" He paused. "Well maybe a little."
Rose looked satisfied and wiggled her toes. "I feel loads better now." She said while sitting up and brushing her blond hair out of her face.
The Doctor watched Rose feeling slightly guilty. "Tell you what Rose, I'll go get you a banana and then when you feel better we'll go buy buy armloads of bananas." He said with a cheeky smile.
Rose laughed. "It's a date then, yeah?"
The Doctor left her room with a waggle of his eyebrows and came back seconds later with a banana at hand.
Rose reached for the banana. "No Rose let me peel it for you." He said holding the banana out of her reach.
"I'm perfectly capable of peeling my own banana."
But the Doctor insisted so she gave up and let him. Afterall it really was a nice gesture.
He handed her the peeled banana. "Thanks."
Rose smiled fondly at the man who stood before her.
"You're welcome Rose Tyler." The Doctor said beaming down at her and then preceded to steal a bite of her banana.
"Hey!" Rose cried out giving him a light and friendly smack. Nothing like her mother's legendary slap.
"Oi! That hurt!" The Doctor pouted rubbing his arm.
Rose just laughed and said "Be glad it wasn't my mum."
