Prologue

Where does one start when writing a fairytale? I believe the words "Once Upon A Time" would be in order. Aoife, the Princess of Ireland was I believe seventeen when her story began. She had been me mistress. I would watch for her when she was but an infant. I followed her around and attempted to keep her out of trouble when she was a child. She was if anything an energetic young girl. If one asked of her you would not hear that she was not one to follow tradition. If memory serves me correct me Mistress had visited France for a ball in honor of Princess Anastaise's seventeenth birthday. Though I was not to tell anybody of such improprieties, me Mistress and Princess Anastaise had sworn me to secrecy; they did not address each other properly. Princess Anastaise would call me Mistress Fefe and her Ana. me Mistress and Princess Anastaise had been so close that me Mistress had been invited to stay in France for a month before and after the celebration.

Ireland. I had always dreamed of being out in another land, an exotic land that I could explore. France was a new country, however I was always going to be Princess Aoife. I thankfully was not the only one to feel this way. me dear friend Ana knew what I went through. She had never been away from France, but had always dreamed of going somewhere unheard of. Me last day in Ireland I decided to say a dear farewell to me beloved horse: Faye. Riding Faye gave me the feeling of freedom riding through the many woods. I had stopped at a clearing to lay about the flowers and to enjoy the calm silence of life. I had not realized at first how long I had stayed in that meadow until the sun had started to set. It had then registered to me that I should start me way towards home.
