A Memorable Talk

Link walked up and down the hallways of the Forest Temple, thinking back to the event that happened there. 'Here's were I killed Amy,' he thought and shuddered, thinking about straining his arm muscles while pushing around those giant blocks. The painting where she had appeared had been turned into a hallway, chock-full of Kokiri creations and paintings in glass cases. Polishing one now was Saria, humming a catchy tune to herself as she wiped off the last smudges of grime. A draft blew in, and the wind's breath caught on to Link's Red Potion and carried the Cherry-like scent to her nose. Whipping around, she aimed a small Bow at Link, and when she saw the familiar green Kokiri tunic, she put it down and sighed. Link walked over to her. "What's wrong?" he asked. She turned and walked to a dim grotto, where a graveyard was. Only one grave stood, old and made of wood. A shimmering crystal tear fell from her brown doe eyes and fell to the ground. 'Plop,' it went. The echo of it resounded throughout the temple. Kokiri strolling through the large building heard it. The ever-growing Deku Tree Sprout heard it, even from across the forest. A small droplet of water seems insignificant, but it holds much more power than the seven sages. It holds the key to someone's emotion. That tear will resound throughout Saria's mind adding to her sadness. "Ever since Mido… got…lost…" She reached her fingers down, and tapped a grimy, white hollow object. 'Kolooong', it said. The bones of a Stalchild. Mido. "Link, will you… come with me?" She asked. Link padded along side her as she walked across the temple. She ended up in a small, enclosed space with a bench. They sat down. "Link, life is hard. The flow of time has many pebbles. Us living creatures. The current is stronger around your pebble. You've been tugged down the stream bit by bit, but for you, change is inevitable. For me, my pebble is stuck on the ground for life." She paused and stared at the ceiling. Suddenly a lantern appeared and burned Link right in between his eyebrows. Saria jumped to her feet and shot it with her bow, and then turned to Link to see blood trickling down the edge of his nose. Saria looked around, then shyly kissed away the blood. Link looked up. "Saria…" Soon Saria was wrapped in a big hug, their lips pressed together. She clambered on his back piggy-back style and they walked to the entrance to the temple. When other Kokiri saw them they stared at Link. Saria recoiled in mock shock. "What, is there something on my face?!"
