While ShipperFag initially thought Kobato was kind of 'bleh' and boring in the beginning, after watching the last few episodes, it was a heart-warming and tear-jerking series in the end. Of course, the manga is still running, so I have no idea how that's going to turn out, but the anime was very heart-warming, as it was intended to be. :P This drabble is the time gap in between where he remembers who Kobato is and before he actually re-meets her. Enjoy~
The Coming of Tomorrow | 明日来る日 | D R A B B L E
'Let's quietly greet the day to come tomorrow...'
Fujimoto would respect those lyrics for as long as he lived.
Why did he not go into a depression? Kohaku's words seemed to be the only thing that was left of his will to live on. If what she said was true, could that girl one day come back?
But wait.
Those words weren't the only thing left of his will-power.
That girl's song...
Every morning, he would say to himself: "I want to see tomorrow."
So for all those years, he would believe in the next day. His heart was not destroyed, simply put into a dormant state because of God.
Fujimoto would await his angel. Gripping the small pink candy, he swore to give it to her as a welcome-home gift.
Kobato.
Well... this was originally going to be put into something more... exciting... but since I am a natural fail at writing, this is the outcome of what could've been a good idea. *sighs* Thanks for reading. :)
