This one shot is actually adapted from a 'comic' I saw on Facebook.

It just seemed cute, so I decided to write it (And change some stuff here and there.).

So I hope you like it! :3

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Kingdom Hearts (I would have made Sora and Kairi kiss a long time ago if I did.).

Popsicle

It was just another typical day at Destiny Islands. Kairi was spending time with her best friend, Sora, or rather, the boy she had a crush on.

They were watching the sun set, both of them utterly quiet.

Kairi reached out to the cooler they had brought along, scrabbling around for a wrapped popsicle.

While it was obviously uncommon to bring a cooler with them, it had been a hot day out, so they had previously decided to bring a cooler full of drinks and popsicles.

They had consumed most of the drinks, and each of them had had a popsicle each earlier on, so the cooler was practically empty.

She finally touched something- a popsicle. Her fingers wrapped around it, before she brought it out. At the same time, Sora's hand seemed to touch the exact same spot where the popsicle had been.

Kairi, whom had not seen Sora reaching for the popsicle, was unwrapping the popsicle and was consuming it.

"You took the last popsicle!" Sora's sudden shout scared Kairi for a second.

Kairi shrugged, and continued to lick the popsicle, merely to torture him, "Sorry, I didn't know."

Her face showed that she was obviously not sorry at all.

"And it was my favourite flavour too!" Sora complained, his eyebrows tangling together into a frown, and he pouted.

Kairi tried to restrain a giggle that threatened to escape her at how perfectly ridiculous yet adorable he looked.

"So you just want a taste, huh?" she asked playfully, waving the popsicle in front of him.

Sora didn't reply, but instead, remained his face in the same silly expression.

Then, Kairi did the unthinkable- she reached forward, and planted a kiss on his lips.

Sora was too shocked beyond words to respond at first, but then, he kissed her back with eagerness.

Sora, to be honest, had a crush on Kairi as well. So it was pleasant surprise for him to have Kairi kiss him.

She tasted faintly of sea salt ice cream, the type he and Kairi loved to eat and, obviously, the popsicle.

Kairi pulled away after a while, smiling smugly to herself, and returned to licking the popsicle.

And after that, Sora didn't seem to complain about her taking the last popsicle anymore.
