Okay so this is my first fanfiction, that I've actually published, that is. So please don't hate. Please please please leave critiques! They'd help a lot! Okay well let's get to it then!
El woke up from a rest less sleep, it had been a year since she closed the gate, and she still had nightmares.
"El? Time to eat! You'll be late for school!"
"Coming Mom!" Joyce and Hop had finally gotten together, thanks to Will and El setting them up on a blind date together. El opened her door and walked to the table where a plate full of eggos was already waiting. She scarfed them all in two minutes and swung her backpack over her shoulder before walking out the door. Sure enough Nancy's car was just pulling up the drive way. She hopped in and sat next to Mike. Her Mike.
"Where's Jonathan and Will?" Nancy asked. As if on cue Jonathan and Will came running out the door same as everyday, they always slept past their alarms. Will slid in next to El and Jonathan sat next to Nancy before planting a kiss on her cheek. El paid close attention before turning to kiss Mike on the cheek, not knowing he was doing the same. The second their lips touched El pulled away, surprised by the contact. Mike just laughed.
"Great minds think alike I guess!" He tried to cover up the fact that he'd done that on purpose. Since the Snow Ball he and El had become an official couple, but they never showed physical affection beyond hand holding and the occasional peck on the cheek. He tried not to rush things but it was hard. After losing her for a year he wanted to make sure he made up for lost time.
"Yeah they do don't they." El said. She ruffled Mike's hair playfully. She absolutely LOVED his curls. They looked so cute in her opinion.
"Ugh can you guys dial back the mushy gushy stuff for two seconds? I'm still not used to my my sister and my best friend being a couple." Will pleaded.
"What does all of this," El wrapped her arms around Mike and rested her head on his shoulder, "make you uncomfortable?"
Will groaned and looked out the window, while everyone else just laughed.
"You guys are used to it because you're all in relationships. I'm alone. I'm allowed to get weirded out by all of your lovey-doveyness. Okay?" Will asked
"Yeah okay Mr. Forever Alone." Jonathan teased. They arrived at school and all went their separate ways, for they all had different first period classes.
