Sorry, this is my first story and I'm not sure how it'll turn out! :S It's loosely based on House of Night which is NOT my story (unfortunately) and is P.C and Kristin Cast's.

*****Zoey's P.O.V*****

I laughed quietly at Stevie-Rae's joke. She might have been dead and undead but she sure was funny, even as a red Vampyre! I gently stroked Nala's gorgeous, soft, ginger fur.

"Me-uf-ow." She complained, sneezing and fell asleep on my pillow.

My mind drifted to Kalona. Why couldn't i get him out of there! I wasn't A-ya, i was myself. Cherokee women hadn't made me for the sole purpose of trapping him, no matter how much my body still knew him.

Stevie-Rae was looking at me strangely, as if she was wondering what was going on in that crazy mind of mine. I didn't even know myself, let alone tell her. Everything had gone strange since I'd got Marked with these different marks and been given the affinities of earth, fire, water, air and spirit by our goddess, Nyx. I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Aphrodite, Damien and the Twins are coming in a minute. I'm not sure about Erik or Stark." I sighed, looking around our dormitory. The place that had once been a home was now a prison, surrounded by Raven Mockers. Even Neferet, the very person we had trusted as a High Priestess of Nyx and my mentor had betrayed us all. She had gone for the dark power of Kalona instead of the light of Nyx. Figuratively speaking of course.

*****Stevie-Rae's P.O.V*****

I wonder what's wrong with Zoey. I tell her a joke and she laughs slightly and then gets this weird look on her face, almost a frown. I guess she was thinking about Kalona. He and Neferet and those creepy Raven Mockers have taken over the school. Apparently we're the ones who have to stop him. How? I mean, Aphrodite is now a strangely talented human, me and Stark are Red Vampyres and the rest (apart from Erik) are fledglings, even if we all have goddess given affinities. Zoey has even got all five of the elements as affinities! She even has more marks than a normal fledgling, plus a coloured in crescent moon mark. We just needed a way...There was a knock at the door plus assorted shouts of:

"Let me in."

"It's us! Open the door!" and from Aphrodite:

"Hurry up. Maleficent is getting restless."

*****Zoey's P.O.V*****

Stevie-Rae just sat quietly on her bed, waiting for me to answer the door.

I opened the door to reveal my annoyed friends and the always-in-a-bad-mood Maleficent. She yowled and ran into my room to chase Nala around the room.

"MALEFICENT!" Aphrodite and I shouted and proceeded to try and chase the fighting cats. That Maleficent is so bad-tempered.
