And trying to hide the pain
Sasuke stared outside the small room that was his home in the Sound. Orochimaru's training was tough and though the genies did not want to admit it the work was tiring and painful and he'd finally made up his mind and jumped out the window.

He headed toward Konoha. His old home and his true home.

Sasuke's mind kept floating back to Sakura. His pink haired team mate. He could stay at Orochimaru's if it hadn't been for her. He looked on toward the east and realized day was breaking.

He knew that she didn't like him with the life of an avenger, but he did not regret the life he had chosen for himself. He hopped that she would understand. But right now he was glad to be going home. Back where her love was calling him.

Sakura was sitting pulling on a bench along the road to Konoha. She was talking with Naruto. He heard her say one thing to Naruto before he left. "I just wish that'd he'd come back on his own you know?"
"Yea I know," he said before walking away.

He jumped down when he was sure that Naruto was no where in sight. Silently so as to make sure that Sakura didn't hear him. He waited till she stood up for she had sensed his chakra for a brief moment before putting his arms around her waist.
