I remember me

I remember. I remember everything I went through. I didn't forget, like they all thought I would. I remember how it felt when he hit me, how the tears spilled down my cheeks when he screamed at me, and how they sent me away. They all said I'd forget. But I remember. Oh god, do I remember.

It's been 4 years since they left. They all look exactly the same. But I don't. I've aged, and I'm now 17. I'm not as vulnerable now. I know that people can hurt you. So I don't trust anyone. Except myself. I've learned my lesson. It's better to be alone then with a bunch of liers.
