Chapter 1
"Strange Happenings"
Hey guys! This is Max here, and I hope that you like my first ever fan fiction! Please no hate comments. And sorry that this is so short, I like writing short things as to not give away too much in one chapter.
Quote of the day: "You doubt your value. Don't run from who you are." -Aslan from Narnia
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars the Old Republic or the Star Wars franchise. This is just based off of a cool idea that I had whilst playing the game.
(Shanairia's point of view)
"Buzz, buzz," Went my holocom. I scrambled to press the 'accept' button, knocking over my dinner in the act. Annoyed with myself, I said, "Hello, this is Shanairia, looking for commercial goods, groceries, or tech?"
"Cut the act bounty hunter," said the man on the holocom. "I have a bounty for ya."
Interested in whatever this man was saying, I said, "Keep talking, I'll really listen when money's involved."
"Don't worry young she-beast," What? 'She-beast'? Welp, too bad for that offer, I'm gonna have to blow his brains out now. "I'll pay you in full, and in advance." OK, scratch that thought. I'm interested now.
He continued, "Ya know where the moon of Konocia is, right?"
"Uh, yeah I know, who doesn't? But isn't that place full of Jedi?"
"Just wondering, and, yes that place is full of Jedi," He said. "Now, have you ever fought a Jedi?"
"Ughhhhh, why so many questions?" I was growing impatient. "And for your information, I have! And I've won!"
"Calm down, girl," he said. "I'm only asking you these questions to see if you are right for the job."
"What is the dang job!? Spit it out already!"
"Fine, here's what I want you to do: I need you to get a lightsaber." He said, suddenly becoming very serious.
I scoffed, "Just a lightsaber? I mean, those things are pretty hard to get, but I already have three in stock, wouldn't you just want one of those?"
"No," He said. "This lightsaber is a very special one, a new model. If we got the blueprints for it, the Empire could tip the scales of this war!"
"I was about to ask who you were, but now I know that you're an Imp. So, on to the topic of money..."
The man sighed, "Yes, money. I will pay you right now. And, before you ask how much you're gonna get payed, you will be payed 2 million credits."
"Two million credits? You have GOT to be kidding me right now. This is the outright worst scam I have ever seen!"
"I promise you that this is no scam," he said with a wave of his arm, I just had to believe him. "I will send you instructions on where to go and what to do. Do not fail." And then, he signed off. I checked my mail the next day, there were the instructions (and the money), just like he said they would be.
(Time skip to later in the day)
I walked onto the Red Flash and found Kiera sitting in the co-pilot's chair, watching her favorite action show on her hand-held holocom. "Hey Kiera!" I yelled.
"Ahhhh!" She screamed, jumping out of the chair and dropping her holocom. I doubled over, laughing. "Shani, why'd you do that? I was right in the middle of the best part, and now you broke my 'com!"
"Don't worry, Kiera. After today's over, we'll be rich people."
"What?" Kiera asked.
"Did I hear something about money?" Mako said as she walked in.
"Oh heck yeah you did," I said. I spent the next few minutes catching them up on what the guy on the holocom had said and convincing them that he was telling the truth. I still had that strange urge that he was always right.
