She was with Pete.
I pushed her away for years, bound by duty to do so.
She did the same.
And then suddenly she had a life.
Without me.
I died a little, but I understood.
Really.
I did.
I sought comfort in another.
It mostly worked.
And then all hell broke loose.
Jacob left us.
Things were said and done that can't be taken back.
And now here we are.
Pete and Kerry are gone.
And things that I've ignored for far too long have suddenly made themselves known again.
Something crashes into me, knocking me senseless.
Boomerang love.
