What have i done..? Buttercup thought. She felt the tears trying to escape from her eyes, but rapidly blinked them back. "Buttercup!" her sister shouted, her voice strained. Buttercup's eyes snapped up to where her two sisters were being swallowd by the white paste. In a flash Buttercup flew to her sisters, only to be stopped by Bubbles voice, "No BC! You can't touch it!"
"But why!?" Buttercup questioned, her face filled with worry. Blossom and Bubbles looked at their green-eyed sister, smiling sadly. The white paste had consumed most of their bodies and was rapidly producing, soon leaving only their heads. "You know what you have to do." Blossom whispered, soon dissapearing in the paste.
"BLOSSOM!" Buttercup shouted, facing over to Bubbles who had tears streaming down her cheeks. "I believe in you, BC." Buttercups eyes widened in horror, her dear little sister eaten by the deadly paste. This time, she didn't hold back the tears. In the distance she heard the maniac laugh of her old class mate.
It was her fault. It was all her fault. She lost her sisters, and now she lost the one she loved into madness. You know what you have to do. Blossom's and Bubbles' words repeating themselves in Buttercup's head. I believe in you BC.
Determination filled the broken-hearted girl, as she flew off toward the one who she was losing. She looked down and saw Townsville in ruins, millions of citizens lost. Because of her. She felt the tears continue, and soon she came face to face with the boy she's turned into a monster.
A blonde boy with glasses stood in mid-air, he wore a brown jacket and green cargo pants. Paste fell down from his sleeves where his arms should be. His brown shoes filled with paste as if it were blood. "ELMER!" she shouted.
The boy turned to face her, and gave the cruelest look of hate. He looked down and smiled. He shot an arm down to the city below him, and grabbed an injured citizen. A crazed smile made it's way to his face.
"My, my if it isn't Butterbutt." Elmer began to crush the citizen in his paste'd arm. Buttercup heard the screams from the citizen, and she tried her best not to flinch. "Elmer-" she started but was cut off when Elmer completely destroyed in the citizen in his paste.
Buttercup felt herself sick. She bit back the tears that wanted to fall again, and slowly flew closer to him. Elmer raised an eyebrow but his phsycotic smile didn't falter. "Elmer, please. Stop this- this isn't you!" she shouted.
Elmer flinched, his smile dissapearing and replaced with an enraged expression. In an instant he was in Buttercup's face, punching her stomach, and sending her flying across town. stopped herself, in mid air. Holding her stomach.
Elmer growled and appeared behind Buttercup. Before the green puff could react, Elmer grabbed her mouth and threw her down, her body skidding across the street. She left behind a crater line on the street, stopping right infront of her body.
Elmer's crazed smile returned, as he grabbed a few more suriving citizens and threw them in the air. Buttercup, sat on her knee's, her eyes widening. She shot into the air, trying to catch the citizens. Her back was turned to Elmer much to his disliking.
Right when she was about to catch one of the citizens, Elmer shot his paste out and hit her back, missing the citizen and flying into a few buildings. Elmer heard the sickening crunch of the two citizens when they fell to the ground.
Buttercup panted, her shoulder bleeding and her leg numb. She stuggled to get on her feet, her black hair dull and burned. "Elmer! You have to stop this! Please!" she shouted, desprate. Elmer only laughed, one of his lenses cracked down the side.
"Why should i Butterbutt!? This was your fault!" Elmer laughed harder, bringing tears to his eyes. Buttercup stood up, stumbling a bit, she looked up and was surpised to see Elmer a few feet away from her. Elmer took a step toward her, he stopped laughing and his was was straight and serious.
"Elmer-" Buttercup started, but Elmer interuppted. "No you listen. I've loved you for most of my life, all you've done was ignore me. I've tried, and tried and tried, and you still couldn't care. And you know what the stupid thing is?" Elmer stood right infront of her and gripped her shoulders, making her yelp.
"The stupid this is i still love you." Buttercup, again, let the tears stream down her face and stared into his eyes. Elmer let go of her and just stared. Buttercup looked at her feet, and then back up at him. Elmer glared down at her "It doesn't matter though." and slapped her through the building.
Buttercup cried out, as her back hit a skyscraper. Elmer flew toward her and slammed her into the ground. Elmer flew into the air and watched the whole city. "Finally. It's time." Elmer threw his arms out, and paste started forming around his hands. Buttercup knew what she had to do. She loved him.
With her last ounce of strenght, she flew up to him, Elmer preparing for her attack. A few feet away from him, Buttercup prepared. Elmer drew his hand back, and punched. Elmer eyes widened in shock at the green-eyed female. His arms dropped to his sides, and he froze.
Buttercup tightened her grip, burying her face in his chest. "I'm sorry." she whispered. Elmer stayed still, his shocked eyes slowly glancing down at her. He felt something wet come down his cheeks. Hesitantly, he touched his face and felt tears.
"I'm sorry." Buttercup repeated. Elmer felt himself fall, but Buttercup caught him. He looked down and his normal human arms were back. The paste he filled the city with had dried. Both of them landed on the ground and gingerly fell to their knee's.
The tears continued to fall from Elmer's eyes, as he embraced Buttercup in his arms, burying his face in the crook of her neck. His tears still falling.
"That's all i've wanted to hear."
