We've all heard the tale. Radioactive spider/genetic experimental spider bites Peter Parker. It's been told in two movies, and I'm sure you're tired of it. We'll glance over most of it. It's pretty much the same as always. Young 15 year old Peter Parker gets bitten by the spider that changes his life. We can go into more detail later. One thing you need to know is that…the spider got away here. Peter was too taken in by shock to notice it. Somebody was bitten besides him before the spider got squished. Now I won't spill the details on whom it was besides Parker. Now let's cut to about a year after this incident. Spider-Man's in full swing! We're past Uncle Ben, we're past a majority of high school, and most of all we got villains.

"AIN'T THIS A SHOCK, WEB SLINGER?" yelled out a man in a quilted yellow outfit. He was running at Spider-Man at full speed. "The only thing that's a shock here is that you though that pun was a good idea, Herm!" Spidey said in a calm tone, contrasting Shocker's gruff yelling.

"You ain't gonna be makin' those clever terms when I'm done with ya, bug!" Shocker screamed out as he shot out large vibrational columns from his silver bulky gauntlets.

"I gotta ask," Spidey began to say "how do you lug around that silly quilt and those big beefy gauntlets?" As he said that, he swung into the Shocker's chest, sending him flying back into the sturdy brick walls of the bank.

"Urgh…" Herm murmured, the man was clearly defeated. Spkidey stood above his opponent, and webbed him up to the now cracked wall. "Well sure, we got property damage here, but hey. It's all in a day's work, is it not?" He then posed in front of the crook, took a picture, dived out the door and finally swung away.

He finally landed on the roof of a large sky scraper. The building was Oscorp, owned by famous industrialist Norman Osborn, father of Peter's best friend Harry. Nobody knew quite what happened inside that building. Peter just knows that's where the spider that bit him came from. The field trip that changed his life took place in this building.

"I just don't know sometimes…" he thought to himself "It's been a year since that bite. Uncle Ben's gone. But yet…I enjoy this. Being Spider-Man has given my confidence I hadn't had before. All these villains are fun. Harry though…how long has it been? Him and Gwen are my best pals. How long do I see them? Not often…"

Speaking of the Osborns, deep inside the Oscorp facility Norman was talking with his associate…

"Doctor Moon," an imposing sized man in a suit addressed an Asian looking man in a white labcoat as "I must thank you for helping me find the secret to this Spider-Man. His powers interest me."

Doctor Moon was busy doing research on the computer to look at the other man. But he spoke to him. "Well , it has always been something of an interest of mine. As you know, my daughter admires Spider-Man."

Osborn chuckled and said "Don't we all, Doctor Moon? Let's hope you hurry up with this little experiment, or else the funding will instead switch over to Doctor Octavious."

Doctor Moon actually stopped his research and turned to Osborn. "Sir…" he spoke in a rather timid manner "I don't know if I can do it in such sort amount of time."

At first Norman chuckled more. Even gave a smirk. But soon those soured into a grimace as he looked Doctor Moon in the eyes and said sternly "Doctor Moon, we don't have much time. Either you find a way to enhance people and give a good test subject, or else you can sign your resignation now. Do you get that?"

Doctor Moon's head sunk. His frown was wide. He mumbled a "Yes, …"

We go back to Peter. He just ran into Mid-Town High after stopping the Shocker. Mid-Town High as a decent sized school. It's also where the two best friends of Peter hung out, Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn.

"Hey Pete!" a short red haired boy said to Peter.

"Sup Harry?" Peter began, but he noticed something "Hey Harry, where's Gwen?"

Harry looked around and said "I have no idea. She was here a minute ago." Peter shrugged and said "Ahh whatever. She'll be around, I'm sure of it. So Harry, how's life?" Harry looked down and gave a small frown. "Same as usual" he began to say "You know how dad is. He's more interested in Spider-Man than he is me."

Peter raised his eyebrow. He thought "Now what would ol' Stormin' Norman want with me?" He didn't show much of his confusion aside from that eyebrow raise. He just said "What a shame. Guy doesn't know what he's got. You're a good kid, Harry." Harry's frown turned into a small smile and said "Thanks, Pete. Let's hope we don't get late for Doc Connors' class, eh?"

Peter wanted to wait for Gwen, but he wouldn't have to. She rushed in and said to both of them "Guys, I am so sorry about being late! Missed the bus. After that, ol' dad had to take me to school. Of all the luck, during the drive he got a call on the radio about some crook named Shocker holding up a bank. By the time we got there he didn't need to do anything! Spider-Man already stopped him."

Peter said "Oh really? That Spidey sure is an inconvenience, isn't he?" Harry then elbowed Peter and said with a smile "I'll say."

Gwen grinned and said "God, you guys are dorks." Gwen was a blonde haired blue eyed beauty and the object of Peter's affection. Not just his, though…

"Yeah, she's right! Move it, dorks!" a loud voice spoke out as two large hands shoved both Peter and Harry.

Gwen sighed and said "Hi Flash." Flash gave a cocky grin. "Hey Gwen!" he said "how about you ditch these losers and start hanging out with me and the boys? Or how about just me?" Gwen gave a deadpan look as she readjusted her glasses. "No." she said with the most flat voice she could give. Harry and Peter got back up and walked over next to Gwen. Flash frowned and said "Geez, alright. Have fun hangin' with the dweebs. If you want a good time, you know who to call."

Harry said "Anybody but you, right?" After he said that, both Gwen and Peter looked at him like deer about to become roadkill. Flash gave a different look, a look that was both of anger and embarrassment. "Watch your mouth, pipsqueak!" he said to the young Osborn. Harry smirked as both Gwen and Peter motioned for him to stop. "Well it's a shame nobody watches your mouth, 'cause you say more trash than most people say in their lifetime."

Flash then gave Harry a right hook and a black eye before walking away. "HARRY!" Gwen and Peter screamed. Harry gave a thumbs up and proceeded to the nurse's office. "Harry needs to know when to keep his mouth shut, doesn't he?" Gwen asked Peter. Peter nodded and said "I'll say."

They both then headed their separate ways and to class. Harry would not be so lucky, though, especially a few hours later…

Norman looked down on his son. Harry just got back home after he got his black house was a large mansion given to his father after his father died.

"So…" Norman said to his son while lighting a cigar "Why didn't you hit back?" Harry just shifted his eyes and said "Well…I don't know dad."

Norman puffed his cigar and looked upon his son. "You disappoint me, boy. You don't fight back, you end up getting walked all over. Do you want that?"

"Well…" Harry began "I don't know if I want to be walked all ov—"

Norman interrupted his son "Huh? What was that?" Harry proceeded to say again "Well—" only for his father to interrupt him again. This went on until Norman put an end to it by saying "You should have spoken over me! I just walked all over you like that Flash fellow walked all over you! Stand up! You can talk big, but only when you hit big is when they respect you…" Harry frowned and said "I guess you're right dad. Hey. How's that Spider-Man project going?"

Norman's scowl went to a smile as he said "It's going good, son! But you know I can't say too much about it, don't you?" Harry then shrugged and said "Oh yeah. I guess you can't…"

Somewhere about the same time, the Daily Bugle was about ready to run its next story which was "SPIDER-MENACE THREATENS CITY BY WORKING WITH THE SHOCKER!"

"Let's see…you get…200$ for the photo lot, Parker" said a man with a flattop and a toothbrush mustache. "Aww come on, JJ! This is some good stuff!" just looked at Parker with a condescending smile and said "Parker, you either accept your pay, or the only person whose name is getting into this paper is Eddie Brock's! Got it?" Peter frowned and said "Alright, J.J." Peter then walked out and in walked a man wearing a long trench coat and a long brimmed fedora. "Hello Jonah. It's me, Mac. You wanted to see me?" the man said in a raspy voice.

"Gargan!" Jameson addressed him as "It's nice to see you! And yes, yes, I did want to see you. Our appointment with Doctor Stillwell is soon. We can't have you miss that for anything, can we?" Gargan shrugged, not that you could tell with his bulky coat. "Sure. Whatever you say, Jonah. I know you want Spider-Man dead. How will this help?" Jonah gave a large gleaming smile and said "You just leave that to Stillwell, Gargan…"

They then walked out of the Bugle together, and started walking towards an abandoned warehouse that was nearby…
