I know my other story needs updating, but I hadn't the time to type out the exact words from the episodes yet, so bear with me.

I know, I'm a horrible author and that I deserve to have no reviews but this has been sitting on me for a while and I want it out of my hair, so maybe you could read this in the meantime? Thanks a zillion, even if you do not give any response. I deserve it.

So, enjoy and I will get back to you ASAP.

Disclaimer: 'Detective Conan' does not belong to me in any way whatsoever. All characters belong to Aoyama Gosho but the situation belongs to me.

It was a sunny afternoon that Conan and his friends were enjoying, before they parted ways. Conan headed 'home', or at least where he was staying temporarily. He was walking across the street towards Mauri Detective Agency when it happened.

The loud crash alerted everyone within a kilometre of the accident. The police were alerted immediately, but it was no use. The endeared and loved Edogawa Conan was lying there motionless while the car which knocked him and another car into the railing just reversed and drove off.

Ran, who was in the agency at the time of the incident, jumped in shock when the sound reverberated around her and cracked one window. Looking out, she saw a semi-wrecked car, a slightly dented car and an unconscious boy that looked like... Conan! Ran was more than a littlr panicky when she contacted the hospital

The ambulance hurried to the scene. In no time, Conan was hooked up to a life-support machine and on the way to Beika General Hospital. All the way, he began to stabilise even though he didn't regain consciousness.

He in unconscious for two days. The car which hit him had been identified thanks to the security camera outside Poirot cafe. On the third day, after the driver had been apprehended, Conan opened his eyes, but made no other movement. Ran, who was there at the time, immediately alerted the nurse, and directly, the doctor, who checked his vitals and instructed Conan to rest, all within ten minutes.

Conan, though drugged, could sense Ran's distress and gently squeezed her fingers. Ran shed tears of joy at this, because the doctor had mentioned that he may become paralysed as a result of an injury to the spinal cord.

However, the moment he released the pressure, Conan's eyes glazed over and he began to convulse. Ran positively yelled for a nurse or doctor again, and absolutely refused to leave the room as doctors and nurses piled in, determined to save the poor boy. There was hope and the relaxant drug did it's work, but the heart monitor began to beep really fast, followed by a long, loud beep. Doctors pumped and shocked his heart several times, but to no avail.

Finally, a doctor called his ToD, 1313 hours. Ran asked to be left alone with him for a bit. The doctors obliged, one by one muttering their condolences to her and giving her pats on the back. Finally, Ran was alone with Conan's body.

She sat and sobbed nonstop for a good five minutes, when his body suddenly started to shake. Ran is shocked and touches his forehead. It is burning hot.

Ran is about to call for a doctor, yet again when Conan's body seems to enlarge, growing at an inhumane pace. The facial expression does not change, but remains the same even after the growing stops and the body's temperature drops like a brick.

Ran, who'd been shocked enough by the growing, had closed her eyes. In a few minutes, when the vibrations seemingly stopped, Ran opens her eyes.

Lying before her in an impossible situation is none other than her childhood love, Kudo Shinichi. As large as life, but just like Conan was, as dead as a doornail.

Ran's eyes began to water again as she remembers his promise to her at the restaurant. "Even if I die, I'll return to you."

I know, crying time. I wrote this, I cried more. Ja, LJ signing off.
