Will sat on his bed looking down at the carpet, searching his mind for a good idea, anything to take his mind off the miserable state that his life was currently in. See Will Lost was a typical muggle born, he had completed his years at Hogwarts and was searching for a job so he could get enough gallons together to move into the magical world permanently. See like most other young wizards out of Hogwarts he felt that he should move out of his parents home and start to build his own life and also unfortunately for Will like most wizards he didn't get the great grades in School that would get you any job you wanted.
After staring at the carpet for what seemed like hours Will realized the time and got up meet some friends at diagon alley too see if they had any ideas for him. He flooed to the leaky cauldron and walked over to the table where his 3 best friends where gathered.
"How ya holdin' up mate? " Gall Kollon asked in an inquisitive tone
"Alright, I suppose" Will mumbled
His friends looked at him all with the same gaze, a gaze will knew intimately, a gaze most people would describe as pity. Will knew his friends pitied him because they all got good Job offers and he was stuck with the morning search though the papers.
Luckily for Will there gazes where interrupted by a fluttering of wings which had come from a large black owl that had just flown onto there table.
"What this bird doing here?" Gall inquired " Who have you got a message for birdie?"
This question was then promptly answered by the bird who stuck out his leg to Will, who proceeded to untie the message.
When Will unscrolled and read the message he was so frightened that he could hardly move.
I'm coming for you Will...be prepared to meet your maker
By the time Will had recovered from the shock of this message he realized that the owl had already left.
" I have to go!" Will said to his friends before dashing for the Floo and heading home.
To say Will was scared was an understatement, see this was exactly had happened to Soph , Will's only girlfriend. She was found dead in the middle of a locked room in Hogwarts with a note that read exactly the same, and too this day no one was sure how the killer got to her, but it seemed they had slipped by all the shields and wards of Hogwarts to kill someone in a room which had been barricaded with every spell that Soph herself knew.
Will had heard the rumors about how it was a suicide made to look like a murder, but he himself never believed a single one, he knew she was happy.
Now that he had received the same note he was determined to run, it seemed the killer could get past any defense that he could attempt to erect so to him running seemed like the best option.
