My name is Adam Kevin Davis and I'm 17-years-old. I have an extremely weird family. I live in the lower Manhattan area in a building that my family bought when I was about 4. I share a room with my little brother and sister Kenny and Bailey. Speaking of Kenny and Bailey lets get started with them. Kenny and Bailey are both 13 years old who have HIV like me. Kenny's a runner and Bailey's a swimmer. As for me I play baseball. So we're pretty athletic siblings. Then there's Mom and Dad. My dad's a guitar instructor on 12th street with AIDS. And Mom works at a dance studio on 34th street who also has AIDS. That's all for my biological family. Now to my extensions as I like to call them.
First there's Aunt Maureen and Joanne. Now there not my real aunts but they feel like it. Aunt Maureen used to live with Dad and is still great friends with her and Aunt Joanne. They have 4 kids. First was their daughter Heidi in 1995. Then 2 years later they tried to have a kid but instead Aunt Joanne gave birth to triplet boys Jason, Andrew, and Luke. Now Heidi is 15 and the triplets are 13.
Next is Uncle Mark and Aunt Kelly. Uncle Mark also lived with Dad just like Aunt Maureen. (Uncle Mark acually dated Aunt Maureen about 2 months before she meet Aunt Joanne.) In 1999 Aunt Kelly gave birth to their only daughter Alison.(Aly for short.) Aly is now 10 years old. They also have a Yorkshire Terrier named Stardust.
Then there's Uncle Collins and Aunt Angel. Uncle Collins lived with Dad back in '84 to '88. Aunt Angel and Uncle Collins met in 1989 after Uncle Collins got mugged. They first bonded when they went to Life Support together to deal with AIDS. Now they're living happily together with their adopted son Hunter. Hunter is 8 years old.
And finally there's Uncle Benny. He as well lived with Dad back in the 80's He used to be married to a nice woman named Alison untill 1998 when she died giving birth to Uncle Benny's daughter Grace. Grace is now 11 years old.
We all share rooms. The lovers get rooms to themselves but the kids have to share. I share with Heidi, Bailey, and Kenny. Jason, Andrew, and Luke share. And Hunter, Grace, and Aly share.
Well that's my family. If you kept track that's 9 adults, 10 kids (6 boys and 4 girls), and 1 dog. I hope you enjoyed my family.
A week later.
"I'm very disapointed in you kids. Most of you just wrote a list of your family members. But I think the best was Adam's in fact I think." I'll read it to yo guys to show you how good it is." Mr. Kantor said as I felt the blush rise to my cheeks. "My name is Adam......" After the presentation I got a big round of appulase. "Good job kid. A+"
