Edward's Pov
My lips curved into a crooked smile, my family was near me, Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, and Jasper. We were out on the field playing a baseball game; the clouds were gray and the thunder was hideously loud. A perfect night for a game.
Emmett, as usual was pumped, he jumped around throwing the ball back and forth into his hands. His smile was large; you could see every tooth in his mouth. Rosalie grinned at the boy in front of her. She kissed his cheek and he put his arm around her waist.
Carlisle and Esme held hands as they walked to the field, they didn't try to hurry as everyone else did. They liked these moments, you could tell, I could also read their minds.
I got ready swinging the baseball bat in my hands, "Beware." I chuckled glaring playfully at Jasper, "I'm not holding back one bit." I held the bat behind me, leaning it against my neck
We all got in our precisions. Carlisle was on third base, Esme; the caller, Rosalie being third base, Emmett and Jasper being out field, Alice the pitcher, and me, I being the first one up. I smiled with a playful of evilness, "Be ready." I mumbled under my breath, knowing everyone could hear.
Alice brought her leg up high her face concentrated, knowing how exactly I would hit every ball, her eyes narrowed, as her lips grew into a smile, she threw it with all her best. I blasted it with my bat and it swung far, far, far into the woods. Alice's faces looked up looking at where the ball flew, while Jasper and Emmett chased after it. I let the bat fall to the ground, and I ran toward the far base. A large grin over took my face as I concentrated on getting to the third base, I see Emmett catch it throwing it back all the way here. I was faster than him, faster than a lot of them. I kept my smile on passing past Carlisle making it to home.
My leg touched the base as Emmett touched my leg with the ball. We both looked at Esme to see what the call was; one word escaped her lips, "Safe!" She called spreading her arms
I looked up at Emmett to see a playful glare on his face, "Next time." He said walking toward the feild
"Maybe." I said back
