Valentines day. Again. L Drew his legs closer to his chest and frowned, as much as his emotionless face would allow. He deplored this season. He always felt alone. Sure he had Watari and all the kids at wammys to usually keep him company. But he didn't want friends or father figures on this day. he wanted someone he could cuddle, someone to kiss. this year wasn't very different. he still felt alone even if a small part of his mind said otherwise.

The soft clicking of keyboard keys ceased and turned into the slightly louder clanking of a chain as the younger man next to him yawned and stretched, making his joints pop softly. a soft beep sounded as it seamed Light Yagami had gotten an e-mail. as the detective turned back to his own screen he miss slightly evil smile that creeped up on to his chain mates face. "Ryuzaki i have to go to the bathroom." Light said as he replied to the new e-mail. "Very well." L reached over and undid the cuffs quickly. "As always, I'm timing you." "Yeah, yeah." was the brunettes reply as he walked off towards the restroom.

About 4 minutes and 11 seconds later the detectives phone buzzed in his pocket. L flipped open his phone and answered "Yes Watari?" The old beneficiary cleared his throat and spoke. "I believe there is someone in the third conference room you should see," watari never got to finish anything else he was going to say as L mentally beat himself up for letting light out of the hand cuffs. As he neared his destination the sound of music came drifting to his ears.

"Hey, internet cupid~
My feelings are overclocked,
I'll infect you with love's virus~"

Is... is that lights voice? The singing continued as the obsidian haired detective opened the door and peaked in. There was Light standing in front of a table full of various sweets and chocolates. he was holding out a very cliche looking heart shaped box that said "Be mine" on the front, and singing as if he knew Ryuzaki was going to be entering at any moment.

"Internet cupid!
I am an internet cupid,
I'll spread the virus of love to the world~"

Lights face was full on red as he walked the few steps to L and handed him the box and asked, "Ryuzaki? will.... will you go out with me?"

Light was answered with a dull thud as the detective in question tackled him into the ground and kissed him passionately. The younger man reached his hands around the older ones waist and pulled him closer. After a moment they broke apart to breath. "So is that a yes?" L nodded his head and smiled as he went back to kissing his newly acquired Boyfriend. Forgetting about the chocolate for only a few more minuets.
