Ever wonder what Tonks was talking to Harry about, or what Harry was thinking about while she rambled when they were in the hospital during the fifth book? Well, no longer shall you ponder.
"-Well it's not seeing the past, or the future, sort of strange, but useful." Says Tonks.
This is where Harry zones out.
Tonks continues, "Why, if I had this power, I'd go around all day reading people's minds. Well it's not exactly reading their minds is it? No more of a seeing into their position. I wish I could do that, does it happen often, well maybe not. I would look into famous people's minds; you know who I've always wanted to see their mind? The author! Why couldn't she have written me, like normal or something, but that's beside the point. Could you get to control people like that, or just watch them-," still thinking Harry is listening.
In Harry's mind, "-What if he kills my friends next? I don't want my friends to die; well I wouldn't mind Tonks… never mind. Is she still talking? Yup. Think of something else so you don't hear her! The potions test was hard, Professor Flitwick is small, Hermione is smart…" Tonks begins flailing her arms, "Not working…. Okay think of a train, why a train? I don't know just think! Oh no! Voldemort's on it! I hate my life! I hate my life! I hate my life!-"
Pick up on Tonks, still rambling, "-And now the fists are flying! And the first guy picks up a brick! This is where it gets PG13, just warning you, 'Alright fat guy! You want a piece of me!'" Tonks yells swinging a fist and socking Lupin in the nose. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry, you need help?"
"No!" Lupin now has his hand to his nose trying to stop the bleeding, "I'm fine."
"No, no, let me help. I guess I'll see you later Harry," she smiles at Harry who is now trying to think of a Voldemort-less plane, "Don't worry, the bleeding stops after a while," she says to Lupin walking him away.
