This is sort of set in the SMH universe. Lockhart meets Harry a little while before Harry gets his letter, though he won't connect the dots...

It was on a cold night that it happened. That miraculous meeting between two people so alike in brilliance- though of course, one just a tad more brilliant than the other.

It was fated.

It was- it was- the will of Magic herself reaching out to bestow upon them this blessing! A young boy, with striking emerald eyes almost as awe-inspiring as the deep, thoughtful brown staring back at him, and black hair contrasting with pale skin like charcoal on paper that was nearly as beautiful as the all around golden glow of the man in front of him. It was one of those nights in mid-Autumn where anything can happen, like achieving your life's dream or even- meeting the perfect prodigy to become your heir. The splendidly bright and golden man flashed the boy a dazzling smile. Not only will I teach him all he needs to know as we rise to stardom together, but he is the perfect contrast for pictures! The dark to my light! Those wonderful forest green eyes were flickering back in forth, obviously in awe of the amazing man's magnificance and most likely stifling prescence. The man toned down his grin to a warm smile, and held out his hand wordlessly to the young boy- surely only six or seven. I have always wanted a son... The man willed him to receive his mental message.

He locked eyes with the creature before him nearly as breathtaking as he and saw a silent understanding pass over the boy's face. He felt tears of joy gather on the edges of his mysterously immersing eyes as the child edged closer to him. Yes, yes, my child! Come to me, come to salvation from this cruel world! No one will teach you the ways to fame but I! The youngling took his wrist and, though puzzled, for an instant the older male was pleased.

"PERVERTED OLD MAN!" The boy shouted, twisting his arm and shoving him towards a crowd of people huddled together against the autumn chill, "HE'S TRYING TO LURE LITTLE KIDS AWAY WITH HIM!" The crowd set upon the miraculous man and he watched the horrid little urchin run down the street. The pain was excruciating as he saw the brat disappear around the corner. His vision blurred with a strike to the head and he could only hope he'd remember this night well enough to seek his revenge.
