This exactly 200 words drabble was written for Hogwarts Online homework with the prompt riddle. A special thanks to BadMum for beta-reading it!

Also, I had seen In The Mood For Love just before writing it, the film inspired me a lot.

It's a riddle for her. How could her husband and that woman -she will not say nor think her name- have an affair? She tries to find the answer. She puts herself in their place, but it's still an enigma for her.

And she wonders. If her hair was curlier, would he have stayed faithful? If she was smarter, would he have kept the interest he had for her? If he hadn't gone on those trips for his work, would he have seen the other woman differently enough to start an affair with her?

She sighs and she wonders why she has noticed the lingering smell of the unknown woman's perfume on his clothes? Why has she noticed that the scarf around the other -married!- woman's neck is the same as the one he gave her? Why has she surprised them together but more importantly: why has she said nothing?

Why is she pretending that she hadn't seen anything?

But you can't answer a riddle with questions. The only thing that she knows is that she's alone and they are two, it's unfair.

So when she spots the other damaged -and still ignorant- party in that story: she acts.

"Hello."
