Welcome, friends! This story is very loosely based off of The Little Mermaid, just so you know. There will be differences, though, don't worry! Reviews are very much appreciated~!
A young woman drifted leisurely through the water, waiting. She knew that soon enough, a certain young man would show up. He came to this particular beach for a morning swim almost every day, and she had seen him many times. She had always made certain that he couldn't see her, though. That is, until today. She felt like laughing in excitement, but the magic that had given her legs wouldn't allow that. She couldn't make a single sound until her first kiss, just as the spell dictated. Often, her kind would just kiss the first human they came across, but she had something different planned. It would be so romantic, sharing that special kiss with the man she'd fallen for!
"Hey!" A voice snapped her out of her daydreams. Her eyes widened and she turned to the voice, smiling happily when she saw just the one she had been waiting for. He was even more handsome up close, especially with that cute little curl sticking out from the rest of his hair. Now was her moment!
