AN 4/9: This is on here because it's extremely plain. Cute, dialogue filled, but plain.
Here's Soon, written in the days of Amanda Katrice Granger...enjoy!

Hello! This might be the last HP oneshot you see from a while from me this summer. I'll be back, though.

Originally I was only going to appear here in the HP archive during the summer. But, I had gotten so many ideas, and I didn't want to keep them locked up for a whole school year and lose interest. And, I have made so many awesome friends here that I have decided to update here every Tuesday alternating with free verse, drabbles, and oneshots starting on September 4!

I know that Luna and the Grey Lady had a relationship that was not mentioned in the books, but elaborated on in the films. I feel that both of them are challenging characters to write about, but I'll try my best. (This takes place during Luna's 5th year, Harry's 6th)

Thanks for reading!

Soon

"Hoggy, Hoggy, Hoggy, Hoggy, Hogwarts, teach us something please…" she sang softly as she climbed up the tower. She made sure to make tiny, quick steps so she could make it there as fast as she could without disturbing others.

Today was Thursday- visiting day.

Luna Lovegood had gotten her homework done extra early so she could go visit her friend. She really didn't have a lot to talk with her about, but she knew that the Helena would appreciate any visit from someone who would just sit and listen.

Luna reached the top of the staircase. She opened the door and tip-toed to through the room. Another door led her to her friend's home.

Luna stuck her head through the opening, searching for Helena. She then saw her, sitting next to the pillar with a longing expression.

Luna smiled.

"Hello, Helena."

The Grey Lady looked over at her, not the slightest bit startled or fazed. While her facial expression didn't change, her eyes seemed to smile a bit.

"Hello, Luna."

"How are you today?" Luna walked closer, not tip-toeing anymore.

Helena sighed. "I'm fine. How about you?"

"Exceptionally splendid."

"That's nice."

"It is."

"Thank you for visiting, Luna."

"It's Thursday. I had to. I can't miss one week. Then it becomes a habit. And I'm not the best at breaking habits."

"I see."

"But I'm working on it. I'll get better soon."

Luna sat down on the other side of the pillar. She looked over to Helena.

"Did you take any classes today?"

"No. I haven't been taking them for a while. I haven't gotten out that much."

"I think you should. You would like potions. We are learning a lot this year."

"Transfiguration is my favorite. I used to go there when class was completely over, and Professor was grading papers." Helena stood up and glided over to the other side of the pillars, facing Luna. "She would leave notes on the board and I would copy them down."

"That must have been lovely," Luna said, smiling.

"It was." She paused. "but I haven't been there in a while. I keep…forgetting."

"It's okay. I'm sure you will break that habit soon."

The Grey Lady grinned. "I'm sure I will. I will just keep trying."

Luna walked over to the door. "Well, I guess I will see you tomorrow. I need to go check if my shoes turned up."

"I hope you find them," the Grey Lady smiled.

"I hope so too."

"I also hope that I'll see you tomorrow. Maybe I will try Potions."

Luna's face lit up.

"That's exceptionally splendid."

Hope you enjoyed! I'll see you guys in the fall!
