I DO NOT OWN SOUTH PARK
Author's Notes:
-Just a cute little oneshot.
-I somehow got the idea for this because of an owl hat of mine. I don't know, blame my awkward mind.
Craig stared, open-mouthed and furious, at his best friend. Tweek Tweak's golden blonde hair was now covered up by a woolen owl hat. The stupid hat seemed to glance at him with a cocky nonexistent grin, as if to say: "You won't be seeing Tweek's hair for a while."
The brown fabric was poorly made and even more poorly thrown on, although it still covered Tweek's entire head of spun gold. Craig made a silent show of cracking a pencil under his fist.
"What's with the hat, Tweek?" He asked through grit teeth.
"W-what? Oh!" Tweek's face brightened at the mention of his new hat. "My -Ngh- dad got it for me!"
Craig made a mental note to kill Mr. Tweak.
"Oh. It's weird." He narrowed his icy blue eyes, in a stare contest with an owl hat.
"I know! That's -Arg- why I like it!" Tweek grinned and pet his little brown owl hat just to make a point.
Craig inspected the hat closer. The fabric was stitched in a way that made it come undone in certain places. Threading stuck out at odd angles and the yarn used to make the beak was falling out. Loose strings hung low, frayed at the edges and improperly braided to the point of barely staying together. And those stupid eyes were still just silently taunting Craig.
"It's all messed up and falling apart." Craig grasped for a good reason to make Tweek throw that stupid hat away.
"I know. Gah! But it's still better than -Arg- my hair, right?" Tweek let out a small, nervous laugh and tugged at the stings.
"But I like your hair." Craig replied, snatching the owl hat off of Tweek's head and releasing his friend's wild hair. Once he realized exactly what he'd said, he slapped a hand over his mouth and raced out of the classroom, blushing furiously and hat still in hand.
Craig walked down the halls, wanting to take back that stupid comment. He only vaguely heard Tweek Tweak yelling, "C-Craig, wait!" Behind him as the small blonde tried to catch up to him.
Finally, Craig whirled around and gave Tweek a sideways glare, not daring to look the smaller boy in the eyes. Tweek's face was a light tinge of pink and he looked up at Craig with a nervous expression.
"What?" Craig demanded, strangling the poor owl hat in his grip.
Tweek took a short breath before reaching up and snatching Craig's chullo hat off of his head.
"I like your hair, too."
