"I will protect my friends no matter what!"
That was what Yuya said to the force that tried to take everything away from him...
"I draw!"
The card he drew made his determination waver...
"This...? This is the card my mom gave me..."
He recollected the words she told him that day... "You can make anyone smile"...
Yuya stared at the card; conflicted.
"Should I play it to calm Reira down...? But it only gives 100 ATK to my monsters... that won't help, they're chained up..."
Yuya's gazed shifted to his enemy, remembering what he was fighting for, he felt his fighting spirit come back...but that card...
He just wished the pain would just stop...
{Fight...fight for her... Protect her...}
The teen's grip on the card tightened, causing the card to bend a bit.
"But what about what my mom told me-?"
{That won't protect her... I NEED her...}
The voice sounded shaken.
Yuya looked around. Serena sat there still feeling the effects of the gas, and poor Reira...his pained breathing echoed in Yuya's head...
He lowered his head, letting his hair covering his eyes.
"I don't have time to make people smile. They won't smile, so why should I try?"
{I must fight to protect her...}
"I MUST FIGHT!"
Yuya lifted his head up reviling his crimson eyes and his enraged expression...
His eyes...glowing an unholy shade of red...
"I must protect her... I must protect...them..."
So that's that, rather short but it gets the point across I feel.
And if yo couldn't tell, 'her' and 'them' refers to Yuzu and her counterparts, but 'them' could also refer to Selena and Reira.
