"I am definitely not the kind of girl who rudely bargs in on a white veil occasion, but then again… James is not the kind of boy who marries the wrong girl!" I looked in the mirror while talking to myself. My hair was perfect, and the blue knee short dress was lovely on me. When I had concluded that I looked perfect, I took my car keys, and drove off to the church. It was James Potters wedding day, but I wasn´t his bride. All through school, he had been in love with me, but I didn´t appreciate it, and when we finished I truly learned that he was my one and only, but today he was marring his one and only, and it wasn´t me. I wasn´t invited to the wedding, of course not. The bride hated me, she knew that I had a thing for James, but it wasn´t just a thing, I really loved him. The first thing I saw when I arrived was her snotty family, they also hated me. I had to hide; if they saw me, they would immediately know that I wanted to ruin this wedding.
"STOP RUINING EVERYTHING!" I could hear the bride yell at her bridesmaids, "JUST LISTEN UP, AND DO AS I SAY!" she then ran off. From the look on James face, I knew that this was not what he had hoped for. His three best friends, Peter Pettigrew, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black all laughed at her. Then they Sirius looked directly at me, with horror in his eyes. He hurried towards me.
"Lily, what are you doing here?" He asked. "Sirius, I really love James, and he has to know!" I answered with tears in my green eyes. He looked at me, and then said; "Oh, but James loves you too, you have to tell him before he marries this bitch! He doesn´t love her, he told me himself. He is only marring her because he thought he didn´t stand a chance with you!"
I smiled, this was wonderful… but I still had to tell James, and ruin his wedding…
I started daydreaming about running away from this wedding, with James by my side.
The piano started playing, something that sounded like a death march. She walked up the aisle, looking like a queen. I looked at James once again, and said quietly to myself: "Oh James, you wish it was me, don´t you?" He looked so very sad.
"Speak now, or forever hold you peace!" I held my breath and kept quiet. "Lily" Sirius said "This is your last, and only chance, you can´t hold your peace forever!" I smiled at him and stood up.
Everyone looked horrified at me. The scared faces soon turned into angry faces, but I didn´t care, James was the one and only thing on my mind.
I didn´t know what to say, so I started singing:
"I am not kind of girl, who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion,
but you, are NOT the kind of boy, who should be marring the wrong girl!
So don´t say yes, run away now, I´ll meet you when you´re out, of the church at the backdoor!
Don´t wait or say a single vow, you need to hear me out, when they said "Speak NOW!""
The look from his eyes was filled with anger, and I hurried out into my car. I couldn´t drive away, I was crying too damn much.
A knock on the window turned my attention away from my tears, and I scrolled down. "Hey Lily, can I join you?" James was standing outside my car, smiling. I nodded and he opened the door on the passenger side, sat down and started talking. "You are right Lily, I am not the kind of guy who marries the wrong girl. Thank you for helping me see that. It should be you walking up that aisle today. It is too early to propose to you, but Lily Evans… Will you be my girlfriend?" I nodded, and he kissed me.
